The maid began to understand the reason for her torture, and it angered her greatly.
"You never mentioned it was going to kill her. You said it was just to teach her a lesson," she yelled. Valerie signaled for her to calm down.
Which Aurora were they talking about? As the matter stood now, this voice did not sound like hers.
"You make sure she's dead," the female voice said coldly. Godic knew he had heard the voice before but could not remember where or the face.
"What?" The maid was shocked, but Valerie signaled for her to play along, and she asked, "What about my payment?"
"I already told you that I can't do transfers. You have to meet me for it," the woman at the end of the line replied. The maid saw it as the perfect opportunity to let her boss get her so she could pay for her wickedness.
