Chapter 12 - [12] Library And Information

Private Library on the second floor of the South Mansion.

The massive room was filled with nothing but books and scrolls related to Mana, Spirituality, and the geography of Human country.

There were multiple rows of wooden racks lined up next to each other, holding all the knowledge owned by the Second Elder of the Bloodloom Clan, or rather Nicholas's family.

In the adjoined room, which was decorated with a comfortable couch and grand chairs, an elegant boy and his attentive maid were present.

The boy was holding a book related to Mana and Spirituality and was reading it with utmost elegance. As he flipped through the pages written in Elfen symbols, he savoured the herbal tea his maid was serving him from time to time.

This boy, dressed in noble attire consisting of a white shirt and black pants, was none other than Luke, who had been meticulously researching further knowledge of this new world for a week now.

The first thing he understood was the language, or more specifically, the magic symbols used by humans, which were Elfen, a language developed by Elves.

Unexpectedly, humans in this world emerged much later than other races, so they did not have a language of their own. Creating a unique language proved to be more challenging than one might imagine, so the predecessors of humans never attempted it.

On the Estomano Continent, there were other races such as Dragons, Dwarves, and Sirens, each with their own unique communication tongue.

Additionally, the Demons who lived on the Barren Continent in the extreme south had their own Demonic Language.

For Luke, it was nothing special, as he already knew how to speak and write Elfen due to the memories he had gained, almost as if it were instinctual.

Beside him, Lina stood elegantly in her maid attire, holding tea for her Master.

As Luke sipped his tea, his gaze remained fixed on the old book and he uttered in an indifferent tone, "Just sit down... You know I can hear your legs shaking."

Feeling embarrassed, Lina didn't say anything and simply obliged her Master's orders, "As you wish, Master!"

As obedient as always...

Although Luke's attention was on the book, his Spiritual Sense remained active, allowing him to perceive Lina's condition and obviously the smile she had plastered on her face before she sat down.

During his first day at the library, Luke learned that Spiritual Sense was typically attainable only by Third-star magicians.

Spiritual Sense, the ability that any Magician in the Third-star realm was able to utilize, almost naturally.

However, his mother had told him otherwise, suggesting that even First and Second-star Magicians could access it early with powerful Spirituality.

Yet, that didn't surprise him as much as the ignorance that Alicia was feigning in front of him. Despite knowing that he could use it already, she was pretending as if she were unaware of it.

What a clever woman...

I guess it wouldn't be easy to win her over...

That aside, I haven't seen her for days now... Curse that Goblin dungeon...

Hmm, she should be back by today if I'm right...

Dungeons, the sudden lairs that had been emerging on the Estomano Continent since time immemorial.

These dungeons inhabited monsters, whose strength differed according to the size of that particular dungeon.

From a mere goblin to as absurd as Mahojana can appear from inside the dungeon.

The strongest monster ever to emerge from the dungeon was Mahojana, a 100-metre-tall, three-headed and four-armed divine creature, who was able to manipulate Space elements.

To such extent was his strength that all Seven Divine Entities of different races had to cooperate to defeat that catastrophic nightmare, which resulted in three Divine Entities dead and the remaining ones being seriously injured.

That was Six thousand years ago, that battle was the reason for a single continent to be divided into two separate ones.

From the moment dungeons started to appear until now, no one was able to figure out the cause of such absurd calamities.

The location and time for a dungeon to emerge were random, almost as if some god was playing a trick on the continent.

Due to the death of the Demon's Divine Entities at that time, other races on the Main Continent forced all the demons to move to the shattered Mainland, a land thrice as big as the current Estomano Continent, though extremely barren. Thus, it was named the Barren Continent.

Because of this, feuds between Demons and the other races occurred, leading to multiple wars between the two continents. However, each time it ended in a truce, as the emergence of monsters from dungeons never ceased.

However, this miserable situation of endless war changed almost 100 years ago.

All the Royal Families and Divine Entities crafted a peace treaty stipulating that Demons would be given enough land to farm in the Estomano continent, effectively halting the infiltration of Demons for the time being.

"Flip..."

As Luke flipped the last page, the book came to an end.

He gazed at Lina and chuckled inwardly.

The moment she sat down, all the tiredness overcame her body and she fell asleep.

Luke didn't wake her up since he knew she had worked hard this week, especially during nighttime.

Yawning, he switched the book with another one from the pile he had collected earlier and then continued to study like a nerd.

An hour later.

"Oh, so Third-star is a bottleneck... Hm, reaching Fourth-star will allow a Magician to awaken and harness their elemental power... Interesting!" Luke murmured, as he finished today's last book.

He then noticed that Lina was still asleep, so he just lifted his finger and utilized his new spell <Telekinesis>.

Instantly, the Teapot next to Lina started to hover in the air and drifted toward him.

Luke managed to bring it next to him and successfully caught it.

How lazy am I...

Filling his cup with herbal tea, Luke smiled as he touched the base of the cup with his other hand and utilized another spell <Heat>.

Within a moment time, the tea got heated up and Luke silently enjoyed it as he closed his eyes.

That goblin dungeon is quite near the city gates... Let's go check it myself later...

Taking pleasure in drinking Mana-rich tea, Luke delightfully emptied the entire Teapot in just a few minutes.

[Mana increased to 988]

Luke glanced at the notification and couldn't help but grin.

For the past few days, he had been cultivating Mana like crazy. During the daytime, he would focus on Mana cultivation, while at night, he collected Lust Points with Lina.

Moreover, a big help came from his mother, who generously gave him a High-grade Mana Stone to utilize. But that's not all—she also provided him with Mana-rich tea leaves daily, leading to a breathtaking improvement in his strength.

Alicia sure loves his son dearly... Well, it doesn't matter, I'm not Luke...

But, since she is giving her all for my sake I too have to take good care of her...
