Chapter 2 - Run.....

"What did you say about him?!, you fatass!!! " A short skinny youth screamed, The rage in his voice was palpable, An expression of pure, unbridled rage formed on his face as he growled at the group of youths that stood above him.

Slumped upon the ground, his body bruised and beaten beyond recognition, his entire face seemed painted in purple, black, and even dark blue. The boy looked quite sad and weak however in his hand was a small dagger that he hid from the eyes of his brutal offenders.

The boy, still slumped with his back against a large brick wall as his offenders looked at him in disdain, some laughing at him mockingly. The boys in front of him had always picked on and beat him even increasing in their intensity as a result of the skinny youth's unyielding nature.

"I said he had to have been an omen of bad luck for that to have happened you deaf bastard" The ringleader of the abusive little group laughed mockingly, his spit flying around like little flies. The bald boy's large floppy cheeks flailed around as he laughed loudly, as he looked down upon the beaten boy before him his ugly double chin appeared.

"At least my mother isn't a bear because you must have been two bears in one for her to give birth to such a fat-ass like you, like have you been weighed in bears before or something?"

"Because if you have then you must know that you weigh a couple hundred of them!"

The skinny beaten youth said ferociously.

"What the did you say?!, you god-forsaken bastard!!!" The large meaty boy screamed his spit once again flying around like they had minds of their own. The enraged youth bent down and grabbed the skinny boy by his collar unknowing of the object in the boy's hand.

A smirk grew on the face of the skinny bruised youth, a look of excitement, anticipation, and joy flashed through his eyes as he looked up at the large boy who locked his eyes with him menacingly.

"I'm gonna beat that smirk out of you're face, you bastard son" As soon as something about birth was said the grin on his face disappeared, morphing his face into an expression of cold fury and unbound rage. The burning rage in him contrasted the cold fury that spread across his face menacingly.

"You're gonna regret this one for the last time Mason," He said slowly, an eerily ominous glow flashed through his eyes, complemented by the small grin on his face made Mason pause for a second before he cocked back fist as his fist flew through the air, something else did as well, something sharp, something deadly.

Arceus City Court----

"Just Jerimiah?" The judge said questingly, his eyes narrowed eyes falling upon me. The judge was a short man in his early fifties, his grey hair slicked was slicked-back framing his large questioning eyes and small pursed lips nicely.

"That's me sir...." My voice was steady and my heart firm, whether I get locked up for life, or get away scot-free was not of my concern, Mason had taken It too far by insulting both him and his friend.

"I see, well Jerimiah seeing that these guys have constantly beaten you for the past 7 years, and the fact that you were attacked first I hereby proclaim that you are to be set free"

As the decree was proclaimed conversations quickly broke out, those who knew Mason and his family were enraged at how things were and voiced out their feelings with protests loud proclamations, and accusations.

"If you're going to let the murderer escape scot-free despite the things that had been said and done to Mason you might as well go spit on his grave already!!" Mason's mother cried out in anguish, her voice cracking at the mansion of her late son's name, sorrow, hate, rage, and longing ran along her broken expression.

"I'd spit on his grave gladly in Judge Victor's place if you would like ma'am" Jerimiah replied snarkily a look of glee flashing through his eyes, delighted that he would be sent free despite his past comment about not caring.

The mother nearly rushed at Jerimiah, held back only by the guards that came to his rescue, but even they looked at him with disgust probably wishing that they didn't have to hold the grief-stricken lady back.

The mother of Mason broke into tears as she could no longer hold back her emotions after her son's grave had been spit on times without any penalty or punishment given to the offender and murderer of her only child.

"Judge Victor, how can you let such a....menace of society run free like this?! what if he kills other people?! What will you do then?!." Mason's father seemed to struggle to not say something worse as he described Jeremiah.

"The boy well quite rude is not a menace to society, also what we do after if he does kill others is not your business," Victor said coldly as he reminded everyone here of his status as a judge of the Arceus city.

Realizing the futility of getting Jerimiah in custody Mason's family gave Jeremiah a gaze of pure hatred and pained bloodlust. Seeing Mason's family leave everyone else, leaving Jerimiah and the judge as the only people there.

"I managed to save you this time but I had to pull quite a few strings so try not to kill someone again got that?"

"I know, I know I'll stop it, I promise" Hands raised in affirmation Jeremiah agreed not to kill someone again before leaving the building and heading back to his house.

"I don't know what I'm gonna do with that kid", Victor sighed exasperatingly as he contemplated his life choices, mainly ones regarding his affiliation with Jerimiah.

Jeremiah's house-------

"Man that took to dam long" Jerimiah sighed as he reminisced about today's events.

"But now that there done beating me how do increase my body strength?"

"Should I try and awaken my lighting attribute body?"

"Or maybe awaken my soul or something?"

"No wait should I do them all at the same time? it might increase my comprehension even further!" Jeremiah hadn't always lusted for power, once upon a time when Jerimiah was still young and naive he was just as pure as all the other children his age. He was quite lonely, and few people ever interacted with him.

Jerimiah and his friend were labeled as outcasts and freaks as they.....problems but that didn't matter either, They were together and for that, the two were eternally grateful and happy, that was until he learned of the consequences of befriending people he knew nothing of.

"Jerimiah do you wanna go to the park together!"

"Are you mentally challenged or something-"

"If I'm mentally challenged then you're mentally marathoned!"

"What does marathoned even mean?"

"I don't know I just heard it they were hard to do...."

"Well let's go to the park now bro!" As Jeremiah had just suggested they went to the park skipping along as they held hands, bright smiles painted their small chubby faces.

"Jerry! It's getting dark now, should we go back home?"

"Nah, Let's stay a bit longer, I'm tryna figure out how to use this thing"

"What thing?"

"The Jerry mount, do you not know what this thing is?" Jeremiah said pointing at the large slide that was nearly impossible for him due to his short height which stemmed from his lack of proper eating and natural genes.

"...That's a swing jerry, not a jerry mount, you dummy....." The short boy playing with Jerimiah furrowed his brows and sighed miserably as he rubbed his temples as he didn't understand how his friend could be some dumb. They were both outcasts but somehow he was the only one who knew things for what they were.

After multiple failed attempts and an insurmountable amount of falling and banging his head, Jerimiah finally got onto the swing by standing on his friend's shoulders and when he got on it he pulled the boy up with him as there was more than enough and through shaking their bodies they swung the Jerry mount and swung into the night.

"Jerry.....Can we go home now?"

"Yeah, we can go now..." Jeremiah sleepily replied as he stumbled while walking, the two boys somehow navigated their way to their small two-bed, no-bathroom cardboard house with their eyes half closed

As Jerimiah and the boy by his side made it halfway to their humble cardboard abode one of the two heard a sound.

"Hey Jerry, do you hear that noise?"

"What noise, I don't hear anything"

"I hear footsteps you death dummy!!"

"I'm not a dummy!!, I'm just.....very smart, yeah very smart!" Jerry replied as he innocently believed that he was not smart.

"Also what does death mean? Isn't that like being.....dead?"

"It's nothing you bum let's just keep moving"

"Wait what is that brown spot on your pants....."

"S-shut up, you said there were footsteps..."

"Your seriously something else Jerry...." The boy accompanying Jeremiah sighed as they quickened their pace, hoping to get under their covers before whoever was there could catch up with them.

*Russtle*

*Russtle*

"W-whoever is there c-come out before we do something bad!" Jerimiah now hearing the rustling of bushes darted around as he yelled out, fear evident in his tone as he shivered a bit.

"Well, it's about time we come out now..."

"W-who the heck are you guys?!" Jerimiah yelled as his eyes widened at what he saw. 3 guys appeared before the duo.

"Jerimiah....."

"What is it?"

"Run..."
