At the start I saved around 10 billion sentient humanoids. I created the world with pieces of their homeworlds. I told them they were free to do as they pleased as long as they didn't destroy the planet through extreme terraforming and world conflict. I was content to watch the world grow through what little I had built but, the elves that I saved had a different plan. They began to exterminate the Tieflings, Gnomes, Hobgoblins and Orcs. After they nearly succeeded in exterminating the orcs, the elves split their focus to the Shifters and Humans. There was one family of humans that I saved and they changed their name when migrating to my planet. They are the Winters and they were tasked with assisting the Head Warden of the Surface. The Winters assisted by keeping accurate records and inventing new technology and/or magics. When the elves started their extermination plan they approached the Winters for support. The majority of the Winters supported the elves as the current Warden was a High Elf Bloodhunter. However there was one person in the Winters family who disagreed and voiced my original instructions to the people I saved. His family laughed at him but, no matter what he said or did the Winters could not disown him. His name was Aaron Winters and was always referred to as the Crazy Winters. This was due to his savant level critical thinking ability and his mechanical aptitude. Howard was able to make the most advanced quality of life machines. His machines purified the river and created the basics for cursebreaking items. Howard was widely respected by the people of Soma's Forest as a God of Forge. Howard never attempted to attain Divinity even after he met me, I wouldn't have let someone as worthy as him fail and destroy everything around him. However he was eventually sent to Jackpot Tower and told not to return until he got past floor 200. He left and began to map each floor with meticulous detail in his passing. He also gathered the experiences of others who had passed the same floors before entering. He entered and broke through the first 100 in record time. Howard always went in alone, partly from his arrogance and partly because everyone knew him. Nobody wanted to pair with the Crazy Winters this was all because he was called the Pacifier, Curse-Eater and later in life the Undying. Howard kept a series of books hanging from his belt and they later became a signifier of the Winters family. One book contained all of his spell knowledge and magic experiments. One was a journal detailing his adventures and, the third was a specially designed catalog that allowed him to store living and non living samples for up to 48hr in suspended animation.
Howard kept a series of very detailed journals detailing his adventures. He eventually disassembled them and put together the crucial bits as a record for the next family head. However when he entered a floor with Gambit his life changed. He bet his catalog with all of the samples and Gambit bet one of Fate's Senet Pieces. They played a game of dice with Howard being the fair winner as decided by the Rule Master summoned by Gambit. The Rule Masters are subrace of imps that are green with a large wooden mallet and extremely good perceptive abilities. They maintain impartiality by not retaining any memories of the previous summons. Fate's Senet Piece changed Howard permanently it caused him to no longer heal naturally but he would fully regenerate at the moment his heart stopped. This is what made him the Undying and what allowed him to sway my judgment from annihilating Lehaedia. Howard singlehandedly convinced me to not render the planet to cosmic ash however I did take most of the population. I initially saved 10 billion to inhabit a planet 1.5x the size of Earth to 10 million sentient humanoids left. This drastic drop was my decision and I tried to recover the shreds of as many souls as I could. I only managed to recover and repair the souls five billion humanoids. No matter how many wishes I cast I can never undo what I have don't. It's the same with Xelnyx and Gambit. Xelnyx Borea was born shortly after the Cataclysm to an Astral Elf mother. His father is one of the few Vampire Lord's on Lehaedia and is probably the strongest having survived the Cataclysm. After his father suffered the scarring injury he began looking for a way to heal the scars. In his hunts he encountered the Astral elves and targeted them for their higher than average, even for elves, life-force. It was a vain attempt to heal scars caused by the Cataclysm that shattered a billion souls beyond repair. The Cataclysm also tore many billions of other souls apart however, I managed to salvage and repair them. There are around five billion souls awaiting reincarnation on Lehaedia. The rest that I couldn't save became the supplemental power to Jackpot Tower and naturally formed mana crystal. Around two billion souls were too damaged to return to the reincarnation cycle.
