The tantrik's words had left many questions in my mind. The one whom I used to look up to everyday with respect and considered my hero, I was doubting him that day. I didn't know the reason behind it properly but now even his touching me was feeling very strange.
Rudra's words had put Seema in a dilemma too. "You said that there was a curse on the village but there was no mention of any curse here" Seema asked with surprise. "Actually I have just told you about the initial incident, you still have a lot to know" Rudra replied.
"Okay, I am ready to listen, but can you tell me why nothing happened to you and your father when everyone was suffering from the epidemic" Seema said while keeping both her hands on the sofa behind. "I told you that I don't know anything about that subject either. I tried a lot to know but till date I could not know anything about it and neither did my father ever tell me about it" Rudra replied in a low voice.
"Then what happened next" Seema asked. After which Rudra stood up and said "If you keep telling me all this then I will be late for office". Saying this Rudra got ready and left from there.
On the other side Seema was still thinking about the situation of Rudra's village. Rudra had also come back after finishing his office work but Seema was sitting there.
Seeing Rudra Seema started smiling a lot and quickly went to him and took him with her. "Now tell me about what happened next" Seema said with curiosity.
Today Rudra was seeing a different passion inside Seema due to which he too could not refuse her. "After that dark night, the series of deaths in the village stopped but everyone was afraid to even go near that house, everyone used to hear cries and screams from there, and such sounds used to come from near that tree as if it was still burning" Rudra said looking at Seema.
All the villagers were disturbed due to all those sounds, after which my father called a big priest from outside to the village on everyone's request. When he was about to enter our village, suddenly a very strong storm started blowing there. As soon as he took his first step in the village, all the bells of the village temple started ringing loudly. The arrival of that priest was no less than the arrival of God.
Seeing that house and tree, the priest became very sad and then picking up the soil from there, he said, "Someone has mercilessly killed the whole family living here earlier, none of them died on their own and their souls want their revenge, if someone had killed only them, then this would not have happened, but along with them, their two small children were also killed in front of them."
The priest's words changed the perspective of all the people. Till now everyone was thinking that someone had done black magic inside the house, but the real reason was something else.
" Priest ji, we have already killed our own people, can't you do something?" said a man from the village with folded hands.
" I can only tie them here, but until the fire of their revenge is not extinguished, they will not remain calm " said the priest while dropping the soil with his hand.
"Pujari ji, you prepare to imprison them here, we will bring whatever material is needed", my father replied with a little arrogance.
"You want to imprison those who are not at fault, villagers, give me some time, I will tell you who is behind all this and who is the one who killed that family", replied the priest angrily.
After saying this, the priest left for the nearby temple. Seeing him go, everyone folded their hands except my father. Maybe they did not like the way the priest spoke.
Just then a villager came to my father. "It is just a matter of a few days now and you will know who killed your friend and why, after which we will also get rid of the problem", said the man smiling.
"I request all the villagers to go to their respective homes and under no circumstances go near this house or that tree", said Aadesh addressing everyone. Being the new head of the village, everyone obeyed him and went to their respective homes. After everyone left, father took me to the temple. The priest was sitting inside and preparing for the next day.
"Son, you wait here, I will ask the priest about the puja and come back", saying this, father left me outside and started going inside.
I was looking here and there when I saw that father closed the door from inside. Due to which I felt something strange and I slowly went and stood near the door. There were sounds of shouting from inside, utensils were falling etc. When all those sounds stopped, I also stood back at my place.
After some time, father opened the door in anger and started coming towards me. Just then the priest called him from behind and said, "Tomorrow everyone will know who is causing all this".
On hearing his words, father held my hand very tightly and started taking me back home with him. That day I found that father was restless. He was not able to sleep even at night, sometimes he would smoke hookah and sometimes alcohol.
Finally the time came for which everyone was waiting. Everyone gathered in that house and started praying in front of the priest.
We were waiting to go. After some time, father and I also joined the puja. In front of everyone, father was acting as if nothing had happened between him and the priest.
The puja started and the priest got busy in his meditation, after which he gave some amulets and some letters to the villagers and then finally gave a thread with mantras recited on it.
"Put all these amulets on the door of the house and wrap this thread around the house and around the tree and remember that no one should ever break it" said the priest while giving the things.
The people also did the same, after which the priest was about to sprinkle Ganga water on everyone from the urn kept in front, when a storm came again. This time it did not stay for long but even after that the priest remained standing at one place.
"One member of their family is still alive, alive" The priest was saying this much when suddenly the priest started coughing. The Pujari was badly holding his throat after which father went to him and started giving him water from a pot.
But all that was of no use. Eventually blood started oozing out of Pujari's mouth and he died while holding his throat. The death of Pujari at the place of worship was a very bad omen after which panic spread even more among the villagers.
Who killed that family, what happened between Aadesh and Pujari, how did Pujari die suddenly?
Thank you.
The story will continue.
