"Athena… I want to marry you... I love you."
Athena was at a loss for words when Vladimir's words sunk in. There was no way she could respond to that. But deep inside, she felt so touched by his sincerity. Despite her tragic past, this guy expressed his feelings for her, confessing his love and his desire to marry her.
"You don't have to answer me. Take your time, Athena. I just want you to know how much you mean to me. I'll fight for you… no matter what."
After saying those words, Vladimir released her from his tight embrace. With a blushing face, Athena walked away, heading to her room without looking back at Vladimir. Her heart was still pounding crazily inside her chest the moment she closed her door.
"Damn. I don't know if I am still doing the right thing." Athena mumbled, sighing deeply.
She strode toward her bed and sat down. She kept thinking about three people– Dominique, Vladimir, and Sasha.
