Chereads / Strongest In the Apocalypse / Chapter 37 - Easy Win

Chapter 37 - Easy Win

Prince and Tou He could be seen clashing on-screen.

Olivia spat out her coffee.

How stupid was this? Why- why were they even fighting in the first place? It made no sense. Now Olivia had something else to worry about.

Especially considering what would be held in the coming few weeks. Tah'Mahkul's information packages were simply just that useful.

Olivia sighed. Getting System TVs was no easy feat, but it did allow for some semblance of modernity. Hopefully, they would start making enough credits for a proper economy so they could get teleporters.

After all, Towering Peak grew every day.

Prince's body moved so fast with so little effort. That time in water had helped.

Tou He rushed at him, just as fast.

Prince wanted to end this quickly. He threw a flurry of quick blows, each coming from a different angle and direction and different martial styles. No experienced martial artist of the old world would be able to counter.

Tou He flipped the staff, rotating it so as to deflect his attacks. The monk counterattacked then, his staff burying itself deep into Prince's ribs and sending him flying into a car.

Prince bounced right back up. Essence flooded him as he leaped upward, using Hand Blade.

Tou He blocked with his staff, suddenly seeming like a sturdy mountain. Prince's hand came down on his staff, and didn't even break through it.

It was chipped, however.

Tou He threw him off, his formerly confident smile now slightly dampened.

Fire Essence gathered around his staff, swirling across the surface. Tou He swept his staff toward Prince, sending a wave of pure, concentrated Fire Essence.

Prince jumped over the wave, above Tou He now. Pulling his hand back, he shot out a Thunderous Palm.

A golden palm descended on the monk, burying him for a moment.

A torrent of flames exploded outward, destroying the attack. Flames scorched the ground, flickering on and off the monk's body. His robe had fallen off, revealing a highly muscled body.

Tou He leaped up after Prince, cracking the ground in his wake. Flames followed his feet.

Tou He pushed a hand toward Prince.

Prince summoned the surrounding Water Essence around his body, and then froze himself.

Tou He released a ball of flame point-blank.

For a moment, all anyone could see was a ball of flame scorching Prince's body.

"NOOOO!" A voice screeched.

"What's wrong with you?" Sylphia frowned at her daughter. She seemed to be intently buried in something.

"FUCK!" Luke held the screen to his face. "YOU BETTER UNDO WHAT YOU DID TO MY BROTHER, OR I'LL KILL YOU!"

"Isn't this the same brother you pushed off a bridge?" Eric asked, eyebrow raised.

Luke paused, turning to him. "That was funny." He said dryly.

A muscular man in a silver-and-black suit sat calmly on a throne, sharp eyes narrowed.

It was Luka, Malikov Luka- or Luka Malikov for the Americans. He snorted, staring at the screen. "Well. Isn't that interesting. Isn't this the one that's the little brother of Luke Collins?"

Another man, this one dressed in a black and white suit, nodded as he kneeled before Luka. "Yes."

"Why are you showing me this?" Luka asked, slightly annoyed. "My cultivation cave should be getting worked on. I need to eke out an edge among the others."

"O-Of course," The man said. "I just thought it'd be interesting…"

Ku So-Yeon threw some popcorn into her mouth.

Beside her, a bald man with a potbelly laughed. He held a half-full potion in his hands. "AHAHAH! I LOVE THE BOTH OF THEM! SO SPIRITED!"

"Really, gramps?" So-Yeon asked. "They're spirited? It's just a battle."

"Sure it is," Gramps replied. His feet dangled off the edge of the roof. "A spirited battle!"

The flame immediately melted Prince out, scorching him lightly. He fell however, down to the ground, landing easily.

Tou He landed after, surprised.

If Prince had to compare himself to Tou He… The monk was strong. But he wasn't anything special. Prince could beat him.

Prince released a Thunderous Palm at full power.

Tou He spun his staff in front of him, creating a walk of flame, but the palm crashed into him with enough force to stop him and send him flying into a building. The palm dissipated.

They both hadn't yet shown their highest or strongest. Prince wanted to beat him before it got to that point.

Prince leaped upward, crossing the distance between him and the wreckage sight in one bound. He came down with an axe kick. Tou He's body was covered with debris, so Prince couldn't see where he was aiming.

An explosion of flame pushed Prince back, sending him skidding backward. Tou He stood from the wreckage, tongues of flame coating his body like another robe.

The area around him was turned into hell. Tou He walked toward Prince, smile gone.

Prince sighed. "[The Odds Are Against Me]." He then got into a stance, Essence coating his fists.

Their aura's clashed, warring against each other. Prince felt his fighting spirit stir. This might actually become a good fight.

Tou He clashed against Prince.

The two immediately started fighting, sending dozens of blows a seconds, both blurring into attacks. Tou He incorporated flame into his fighting style with a fury, while Prince tried to end the fight quickly.

They both were locked in a stalemate, shockwaves rippling outward from every strike.

Prince landed a punch, Tou He's snapping to one side. Blood flew from the monk's nose, but he twisted right back around into an expert staff twirl.

Prince could sense what form of martial arts Tou He was using, and he could gain the upper hand. Both of their Daos were powering their body, warring against each other with ferocity.

Whips of flames flashed where Prince had been moments ago, and hand blades slashed at where Tou He had been moments ago.

Tou He kicked Prince into the air.

When he reached his zenith, 20 feet off the ground, Tou He spun his staff.

"FLAMING TYPHOON!" The wind began to pick up, swirling around Tou He. Following the wind was flame. Then the tornado roared into life, and Prince began to fall toward it.

The Essence behind this attack was gigantic. Prince frowned and pulled his fist back.

"Titan Fist."

His fist glowed. Golden light surrounded it, like a shooting star. It fell toward the flame tornado.

All flames in the area vanished. The tornado dissipated, Prince's attack tearing through it with ease.

His fist connected with Tou He's face, Prince's all out move knocking the man out instantly, and rather anti-climaticly.

Prince rolled away. He hadn't even used it at its maximum. Smoke curled off of Tou He's cheek. A monk checked up on him.

Tou He has been knocked out. Prince Collins has won.

"A deal is a deal," Another monk said.

Prince nodded toward them. He then took off at a run, not wanting to be around when Tou He woke up.
