"I understand" Zephyroth glanced at the youth but he didn't reveal any anger, he even smiled which made Tianlan very suspicious and slightly scared
"You're not surprised?"
"Why should I be" Zephyroth asked with a puzzled expression
"Why are you so calm then?" Tianlan asked in surprise.
"…"
Tianlan was silent for a long time before he spoke.
"The reason why I asked for this mission is because something special will happen in Jizhou country in 2 months time and so despite the danger, the opportunities are boundless"
After explaining, Tianlan looked at Zephyroth with a sincere expression while spreading his hands in a innocent manner
"Trust me, I'll never put us in any danger that we don't have any chances of surviving "
"..."
"Ok ok fine, we have at least 50% chances of surviving " said Tianlan scratching his head with sheepish expression
"..."
"20%"
"..."
"Sigh alright, we have at least 10% chances of surviving, but imagine if we survived, our future will be boundless" said Tianlan with a heated gaze
"Sigh if I don't die by your hands, then I doubt anything can kill me. Forget it, let's get ready"
" Haha, I knew I count on you" Tianlan said with a grateful expression
Tianlan concluded his speech by reassuring him that he would support him as much as possible if needed during their journey in the Jizhou country
As the ship flew further into the Jizhou country, the scenery outside began to change. The lush green forests and rolling hills of the Xuan Sword Sect were replaced with towering mountains and deep valleys. The air grew cooler and thinner, and the sky seemed to stretch on endlessly above them.
The people on the flying ship were all looking outside, taking in the new sights and sounds of this foreign land. Some were whispering excitedly to each other, while others were silent, lost in their own thoughts.
The mountains, covered with dense forests and mist, seemed to stretch on forever. The valleys were deep and shadowy, with rivers and waterfalls flowing through them.
Magical beast creatures could be seen darting through the trees or gliding through the air.
An Elder among the group stepped forward and addressed the disciples once again, "We have entered into the Jizhou country, You will find dangers at every step here and maybe chances to become great cultivators , but remember, the path ahead will not be easy Stay focused, work hard, and always strive to improve yourselves and also avoid trouble"
As the Elder his words, the group began discussing among themselves
As the ship descended towards their destination, the group couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. They were about to embark on a new journey, one that would test their limits and push them to become stronger. Some of them felt nervous, while others were more confident, but all shared a sense of determination to make the most of this opportunity.
The ship finally landed in a large courtyard, where a group of people dressed in the attire a royal attire were waiting for them.
"Spiritual energy here is less denser compared to the sect." Tianlan complained feeling Abit uncomfortable with the new environment
"Hello to you all, I'm the 5th prince of Jizhou country, Prince Bantian. I was tasked by the king to have you guys settle down, later we would go meet the king" Lu Bantian said a gentle smile on his face.
Elder Xue Lan and the rest of the disciples followed the man as he led them towards a particular building where they were to rest for the night
As they arrived at the building, the duo noticed several servants waiting for them, gestured to the servants, who then led them and their companions to their respective accommodations.
The rooms were simple but cozy, with a tranquil atmosphere that calmed Zephyroth
As he settled into his new surroundings, he felt slightly uncomfortable due to the low spiritual energy but it didn't deter him from cultivating
After a quick nap to rest up, Zephyroth opened his eyes to find himself staring at the dark ceiling of his assigned private quarters. The candles in the room were all blown out, of course, giving off the impression that he was indeed sleeping, but really, all he did was doze a bit.
Gently but swiftly, he moved his blankets off of his body and rose from the bed, before stepping towards the window and quietly opening it up
The atmosphere hit him like a truck—the slight chill of the night breeze, the soft chirping of cicadas, and the bright full moon high above in the dark sky where the sun was during the day
Given all of these features, he surmised the time was now deep into the night
The silence only confirmed that further, so if he wanted to pull something off, now was the best time.
Moving back to his bedside, he neatly stuffed a pillow underneath in his place just in case anyone came to check on him. It wasn't a very good disguise by any means, but he was doubtful anyone would come check, and even if they did, they wouldn't dare to come close enough to disturb the guests' sleep.
Suddenly, he heard a knock on his door, interrupting his concentration. He opened his eyes and stood up, feeling a bit annoyed at the interruption. Who could be bothering him at this hour?
He made his way to the door and opened it, revealing a familiar face on the other side. It was Tianlan...that bastard. He smiled warmly at him, his eyes sparkling with joy ignoring the narrowed gaze Zephyroth gave him
With that done, they slipped out of the front doors quietly, taking care not to make as little noise as possible
He moved nimbly, and after looking both ways, he exited the courtyard onto the pathway right outside
The night sky was exceptionally bright today, with its countless stars shimmering in attention —- It was almost as if the celestial bodies were looking forward to the events of this fateful night
