Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Limit

Ben just came back from the hospital after getting his swollen face treated.

He got a call from one of his girlfriends, the lady standing beside him to dine with him, that is the reason he ran into Old Ye presently.

"Who is he?" the lady asked, curious to know the reason Ben looked like he wanted to swallow the very handsome young man before her whole.

"You don't have to ask," Ben retorted.

Old Ye retracted his gaze from Ben and the lady standing behind him. In his eyes, Ben was just a clown who was jumping around to be noticed; he didn't take such people seriously.

"Move aside," Old Ye said in a deep voice.

Ben, who was making a call, saw that the doorman was about to let them in.

He quickly ended the call and yelled at the top of his voice, threatening, "Don't let the motherfuckers in! I am going to destroy this building if you let me in."

The doorman, who was intimidated by Old Ye, regained his fighting spirit and blocked the way once again. He puffed out his chest and snorted in disdain, "You heard him; it's fine as a beggar if you beg money, but you go around provoking rich people, you don't know what is good for you."

Old Ye's face fell. He had not gone to provoke these people, but they kept on provoking him, especially the doorman, who kept hammering that he was a beggar.

Do they think he is someone without a temper?

"Scram for me!" Old Ye shouted coldly. The doorman stumbled backwards and crashed at the door, forcing it open with his body.

Taking a step forward Old Ye pulled John along. Ben saw them walking inside the eatery, and he charged forward, saying in anger, "You can't go in."

But he shut up his mouth sensibly when Old Ye shot him an icy look. The pain he felt while Old Ye landed those slaps on his face was still fresh in his memories.

The lady by his side was lost; she couldn't stand by anymore and watched, "Can you explain to me, Ben, what is going on here? You brought me here for lunch, and you are acting like a thug?" she asked with a frown on her face.

The lady was a beauty, but Ben, who was fuming in rage, didn't give her face at all; he didn't even bother to explain himself to her; he kept pacing while looking out towards the tarred road.

Feeling ignored, the lady got upset and said, "We are done."

Turning around, she walked away, making a call. Ben watched as she left, but he didn't care. When a van pulled over with a bunch of thugs holding long steel bars, Ben's eyes lit up in joy.

Jumping down from the van, the leader of the gang stepped forward and asked, "Where is the motherfucker you want us to beat up?"

If Old Ye were to be present, he would be able to recognise them as members of the Dragon gang, and their leader, Lu Ji, was the one who asked Ben about his whereabouts.

"The bastard is inside the eatery; I won't be satisfied if you don't break his arms and cripple him before me; he dares slap me three times," Ben said with a cold face.

He had never suffered such humiliation publicly being slapped before, and the worst part of it was that he couldn't even fight back.

It was a one-sided, thorough beating.

"Don't worry, Mr. Ben, we are going to cripple him and break his arm; if you want us to end his life, we will also do so, but you have to make the punk come out," Lu Ji responded, brimming with fighting spirit.

After being oppressed by Old Ye at noon, he was looking forward to regaining his face before his underlinings, and this was a perfect opportunity.

"I will call the manager to chase him out of the eatery," Ben replied and then pulled out his phone. He dialled a number and said a few words to the phone's receiver.

A few minutes later, the manager came out to meet Ben.

"Manager Kenneth, I want you to chase out the bastard that went in for me; if you want me to continue to patronise this eatery and allow your eatery to be the sole supplier of my factory, do it; if you don't do it, I will end all our collaborations," Ben threatened.

"This-" Manager Kenneth was put in a tight corner; if he went in and chased diners, he would be damaging the reputation of the eatery.

But he couldn't disobey Ben; if he didn't carry out his instructions, they would suffer financially.

"I will do it." Manager Kenneth responded after weighing the pros and cons, but before he could make a move, Old Ye and John came out of the eatery.

The doorman, seeing Old Ye, jumped away from the door in fright. He didn't know what happened earlier, but he felt a force that hit him, making him crash into the door, which made him develop instinctive fear towards Old Ye.

"Punk, you finally came out. I am going to make sure you regret slapping me, Lu Ji. Break his arms and cripple him. I want him to scream out in pain." Ben gnashed his teeth in anger. The hatred he has for Old Ye is deep-rooted in his bones.

Time trickled by, but he didn't see Lu Ji and his underlinings charge forward to attack Old Ye and John.

He turned around and looked at Lu Ji, whose face was filled with fear.

Lu Ji wore a bitter smile; he didn't expect to run into Old Ye twice in one day. Forget about attacking Old Ye; it was good enough that he was still bravely standing there; he would have run away the moment he set his eyes on him.

With how Old Ye sent his men flying with a slap, will he dare get into a fight with him?

"This Lord only gave you a couple of slaps, instead of grovelling and burning incense for such a good fortune, but you still came to provoke this Lord; it seems that slap earlier wasn't enough; I will grant you, your wish," Old Ye said in a deep voice.

If it were to be in the immortal world, he would have gone on a massacre for being insulted twice.
