Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Fear Is Sufficient

Even though he is angered by Old Ye, due to the years of friendship he shared with the former Old Ye, he couldn't give up on persuading Old Ye to run away. "You must not have heard of the dragon gang. I am saying this for your good; if not, you look like my friend. I wouldn't even bother to say this to you. The dragon gang members are lawless; they will beat you up..."

While Steven was still talking Old Ye had already turned around and left. He stopped talking and looked at Old Ye's receding silhouette gloomily.

Sighing, he didn't expect the young man to be so daring and foolish to go and look for the dragon gang that even the police didn't bother with.

Which police officer will continue to arrest a criminal who will be released after twenty minutes behind bars? Is that not wasting his or her time for nothing?

Steven shook his head in pity. If Steven knew that Old Ye smacked a pile of blocks to dust with his palm, his pity would be offered to the dragon gang instead.

Old Ye didn't care about whatever Steven was thinking; he was heading to the dragon gang den in the wet market with an expressionless face.

The dragon den in the wet market was in the most obscure street in the wet market; the highest number of reported robbery cases were from the street in the wet market.

Every corner of the street has two or three people smoking, and the fierce look on the faces of the people Old Ye walked past revealed they didn't have any good intentions.

If they hadn't recognised Old Ye's suit to be fake and the leather shoes to come from the roadside, he would have been approached by one or two people.

Taking three more steps, Old Ye spotted his bicycle dumped on the floor beside a bar. From afar, Old Ye could hear people shouting; they were all gambling.

Narrowing his eyes, Old Ye walked faster and got to his bicycle. Picking it up from the floor attracted the attention of one of the dragon gang members who was drinking in a corner.

"Hey, what are you doing?" The dragon member shouted fiercely and charged forward to frighten Old Ye.

But too bad he kicked a steel plate this time; Old Ye responded with a slap that sent him flying back from where he charged out.

Old Ye's action attracted more dragon gang members; all of them came out of the bar, and around the streets, in a breath, Old Ye, who was holding the bicycle, was surrounded.

The dragon gang boss who brought the bicycle with him from the market stepped forward and sized up Old Ye.

The more he looked at him, the more he felt like the young man resembled Old Ye, the one who used to sell vegetables. He became excited at the thought that he had gotten his hands on Old Ye's son.

If he couldn't get Old Ye, he would naturally get his son, and the Anderson family would appreciate his effort.

"Punk, how dare you touch my man? Are you tired of living? You are going to stay back till your grandfather comes to get you; you are Old Ye's grandson, right?" Although he suspected that the handsome youth standing before him was related to Old Ye, it was just speculation; he wasn't certain, so he inquired ferociously.

"Is this Lord matter What idiots like you could comment on?" Old Ye retorted coolly.

All the gang members' eyes widened in shock.

They are not short of knife-wielding gang members presently, and neither are they short of steel bar-wielding men presently.

They didn't expect the handsome youth to still be arrogant and unbridled.

Lu Ji, the dragon gang leader, was shocked by what he heard; he couldn't say a word for an entire thirty seconds.

His face fell and his eyes became sinister when processing what Old Ye said. He couldn't remember when someone dared challenge his authority in the wet market; the youth was the first.

"Interesting, someone dares to say such words to me; teach him how to respect his papa," Lu Ji spat out in rage. Immediately,  three of his underlinings moved forward to take down Old Ye.

Although they didn't know how Old Ye sent one of them flying earlier, they felt like with numbers he couldn't achieve that again, but they were wrong.

They only heard three successive crisp sounds of faces smacking and then figures shuttling through mid-air before crashing.

Everything happened in three breaths; none of them knew how it happened. In their eyes, Old Ye was standing there without moving a muscle.

How they were slapped and why their comrades were sent flying—none of them know how it happened.

The means of Emperor Dao were beyond their knowledge.

Old Ye rolled the bicycle as he turned and walked away.

The gang members who were standing in his way moved aside immediately.

Their fighting spirits were long extinguished by those three slaps Old Ye launched earlier.

They were all cowards in the first place; if not, they wouldn't have been members of a gang.

They only bullied the weak and feared the strong; even Lu Ji was stunned silly by the slap and didn't show any sign of stopping Old Ye.

With the looks on his underlinings, even if he sent them to stop Old Ye, who would dare do such a thing?

Mounting the bicycle Old Ye looked at the sun; he had promised to pick up John from school.

Although he has not had the chance to see watches and clocks, in the immortal world, they don't need those to know the time; the sun is sufficient.

Picking up the pace Old Ye rode the bicycle out of the wet market to Brilliant High School.

Arriving at Brilliant High School, a police van was parked by the side.

"Arrest him," Mr. Smith pointed at Old Ye and said angrily.
