Brilliant High School was situated in the heart of A-city, and the Twin Towers were very popular.
It is known as one of the best high schools in A-city. it can't be helped, With the backing of the Daniels, Brilliant High School is expected to be outstanding; otherwise, it might as well close its doors.
The gate of Brilliant High School was known as the beautiful gate because it was forged with pearls and gold.
The school gate was crowded with cars, and inside the school compound, a lot of cars were also parked as pupils were brought in by their parents and guardians, showing how popular it is amongst the rich in the city.
Amid this beautiful sight, a scene stood out: a bicycle with cars behind it stood before the gate entrance.
"You can't go in," the gateman of Brilliant High School snorted condescendingly, his nostrils flaring towards the sky.
The gateman always wagged his tail like a dog in front of those beautiful cars that pulled into the school; he had been ordered around for years. Seeing the opportunity to show his mighty bearing before a bicycle rider, how could he miss such an opportunity?
"With the likes of you, a mere gateman wants to stop me from going in; you should go and kowtow in the ancestral hall for making this Lord talk to you," Old Ye said coolly. If it were to be in the immortal world, he would have long smacked the gateman to death with a slap.
The gateman was taken aback, speechless at Old Ye's audacious words, which deviated from the expected script.
He thought Old Ye would ask the reason he had been prevented from entering the school gate, then he would ask him if his bicycle worth two hundred dollars could be compared to those cars worth millions of dollars.
"Scram for this, Lord!" Old Ye thundered when the gateman stood there fuming like a helpless, injured lion.
Shocked, the gateman stumbled backwards and flopped to the ground. Before he could rise to his feet, Old Ye had already ridden into the school compound.
Looking at the school environment, the large field, and the sports facilities with many exquisite gardens and playgrounds, Old Ye nodded in satisfaction.
Although the former Old Ye was very poor, he didn't spare any money he had for his grandchildren's education.
"Grandpa, we should stop here," John grabbed Old Ye's shirt and said nervously. They have began to garner attention as Old Ye rode his bicycle towards the principal office instead of parking it in the parking space area.
"Don't be scared; with me around, we can never do wrong—everything we do is right." Old Ye responded, rendering John speechless with his words.
"How dare you ride a rotten bicycle to the principal office? The two of you don't know the school rules, You can't bring a bicycle here; take it to the parking space!" One of the security guards in the principal's office area shouted at Old Ye the moment he saw him riding towards the principal's office with a bicycle.
Old Ye acted like he didn't hear the yelling security bike and got down from the bicycle after John, rolling the bicycle to a corner, parking it there, and then calmly walking towards the principal's office.
"I am talking to you!" The security man roared in rage, angered at being ignored by a mere bicycle rider.
As a security officer in charge of the principal's office, many rich parents have lobbied him for their child's opportunity to get admission.
Competition into Brilliant High School is very intense, and over the years he has already developed a sense of superiority over those who come to the principal's office, especially poor families.
"Do you think anyone can talk to this Lord? Is the principal inside the office?" Old Ye retorted coldly while looking at the security man condescendingly.
The security man's eyes turned red with anger upon hearing Old Ye's words. He hadn't expected someone as poorly dressed as Old Ye to insult him and brazenly ask questions, disregarding proper protocol.
"Get lost! Do you think anyone can see the principal whenever they want to?" The security man yelled in anger and charged forward, ready to push Old Ye and John away.
"You are just a security man; you won't know whether he is inside or not; then you are of no use to this Lord; I will personally go and check myself." Old Ye said he didn't take the charging security man with a baton seriously.
"Grandpa, we should leave; this security man is very mean." John tugged at Old Ye's shirt fearfully; he seemed to be afraid of the security man.
"He is just a security man; just ignore him; let's go and see the principal." Done talking, Old Ye pulled John along.
Two metres from Old Ye and John, the security man suddenly felt the world crushing on him; his face turned pale in fright and he leapt back in shock.
Before he could get over the dread, Old Ye had already brought John into the principal's office.
Feeling embarrassed, the security man turned towards the bicycle, Old Ye, parked in a corner, and dashed over to vent his anger.
Sending a kick towards the bicycle leaned on the wall, the bicycle suddenly moved, and his kick missed and his leg slammed against the wall.
"Argh!" The security man grabbed his leg and yelped in pain.
Falling to the ground, he stared at the bicycle fearfully, his heart palpitating and his forehead covered in sweat.
"How did the bicycle move just now? I target the bicycle. I should have kicked the bicycle." The security guard pondered in shock as he stared at the bicycle like he had seen a ghost.
Old Ye didn't know about this; he brought John into the secretary's office.
"Hello, sir, the principal is in a meeting; you have to wait," the beautiful secretary said with a smile that wasn't a smile. She recognised John.
