Old Anderson was already fuming because of the calls he had received while inside the mansion. The military had captured his sons, relatives, and grandsons without employing a soft approach. He had tried to find out the reason, but all his contacts in the military were not even willing to answer his calls.
Facing such a situation, Old Anderson was already filled with frustration and anger. When he saw what was going on in the courtyard, he was even more angered.
Before Tony could respond to his father, he felt a stinging pain on the left part of his cheek that forcefully craned his head. "What do you think you are doing?" Old Anderson asked balefully; he had seen the divorce papers he had waited for years to come on the floor, and his good-for-nothing last son was trying to ruin them.
Tony's face was filled with shock. His father had never laid a hand on him before; this was the first time, and he was dazed with confusion. "Dad, why did you slap me? I have never done anything wrong," Tony argued resentfully.
Old Anderson landed another slap on the other side of his cheek before he pointed to his face and scolded, "What do you mean by saying you haven't done anything wrong? You want to destroy the divorce papers I have worked so hard for. Do you think you don't deserve a slap for trying to ruin two years of my hard work?"
Tony lowered his head guiltily and didn't dare argue again. Suddenly, a commotion attracted their attention. They looked in the direction the moaning voices were coming from and saw the burly security team after Old Ye on the ground, groaning in exhaustion.
The father and son pair were shocked beyond words. When they looked towards the gate and saw Old Ye's receding silhouette, they shuddered in fear.
The moment Old Ye left the Anderson family mansion courtyard, he looked towards the security outposts and then the CCTV cameras.
Looking into the former Old Ye's memories, he knew the capabilities of the cameras.
Opening his palm, a ball of fire dangled in his palm. Letting go of it, the ball of fire seemed to have gained a life of its own, jumping around happily before targeting the security outposts.
Old Ye didn't stay back to watch the destruction the ball of fire would wreck; he teleported back to Ye's courtyard.
The moment Old Ye left, military trucks and vehicles surrounded Anderson's mansion.
Military men in uniforms marched in with great momentum as they arrested anyone at sight. When they got to the entrance of the mansion, they had already arrested over thirty people.
The commotion created by the military officers had already attracted Old Anderson's attention; he was very furious when he was told of it, and he rushed out of the house fuming in anger.
"What is the meaning of this? Do you think the Anderson family is easy to bully? How dare you barge into my mansion and arrest my people wantonly?" Old Anderson roared in rage; his eyes were already spewing fire.
"Old Anderson, if not for your standing in society, it wouldn't have only been an arrest warrant but a shoot-at-sight order," the military officer in charge of the raid responded nonchalantly.
Old Anderson was shocked; he didn't remember offending anyone in power or even rebelling against the government in power to warrant such an elaborate show of force. The number of military vehicles wasn't small at all, and the assault rifles brought were no less to reveal their combative readiness.
Old Anderson realised the matter wasn't simple; his aggressive aura receded, and he said anxiously, "Great soldiers of our country, I have never done anything to threaten the country..."
Before Old Anderson could complete what he was saying, the commanding soldier ordered coldly, "Arrest him."
Without delay, the entire Anderson family was emptied by the military officers, without a care for the burning security outposts.
Old Ye was in a good mood when he returned home, but he still met Jenny and John standing at the front of the house.
Frowning, he asked, "Why are you staying outside the house instead of going in to eat?"
"We are waiting for you," Jenny responded.
"Let's go inside. There's no need to wait for me outside the house. You've just recovered; you should be eating and resting instead of waiting for me." Old Ye retorted immediately. He was a bit emotional as he chatted with Jenny; he didn't expect the feeling of being a grandfather to be so blissful.
The trio moved inside the house, the chairs and the living room arrangement were old-fashioned. The television on the table was outdated, the wall paintings had nearly faded, and the curtains around the windows were of poor quality. There was nothing of value in the living room.
Old Ye frowned and mumbled in exasperation, "The former owner of this body was incapable. With such a large courtyard, he didn't even establish a garden or farm to earn money. How can this Lord stay in such a place? unacceptable"
The more Old Ye looked at the furnishing of the living room, the more the frown on his face deepened. When Jenny and John saw this, they became worried. Jenny asked, "Grandpa, what is the matter?"
Old Ye shook his head and replied, "Nothing is the matter," before adding, "This place isn't suitable. How can we live in such a house? Even my dog wouldn't be happy here."
Old Ye's words shocked Jenny and John. The grandfather they knew sacrificed luxury for the education of his grandchildren and children.
Seeing their shocked facial expressions, Old Ye didn't think much about it; he said confidently, "In a few days, I will rebuild this house. Such a shabby house isn't worthy of this Lord."
It would have been fine if Old Ye stopped talking, but his last words shocked Jenny and John to the extent that their eyes widened.
