4 days had passed since the army had left the ghost town of Bailen. Now they were stationed in the empty city of Granada. There were no survivors only signs of battle and some burned buildings. The streets were littered with weapons used in a fearsome battle and dried-out bloodstains. Now only the soldiers of the army inhabited this city and brought it to life.
Here they had waited for two of those four days, without any sign of the rats, they had decided to march out first. Since the rats would not come to them then they would have to go to them. Now as the morning sun rose over the horizon the army marched out of the gates of Granada. Sitting on horseback, on a hill overlooking the city in the distance and the path the soldiers were now using to march up the mountain Uther and Antonio watched the seemingly endless stream of men pouring out the city.
Uther wore his heavy full set of plate armor and a great Two-handed gold coloured war hammer. His armor also gold coloured, shined brightly in the morning sun. Although the brightness was greatly lessened by a blue cloak. He wore it over his T-shaped visor helmet. Not only was it stylish as it represented Andalusias blue colour scheme, he also wore the blue cloak to protect himself from the morning suns heat.
Looking over to his left Uther could see Antonio. He wore a Heavy silver-colored full set of plate armor with a red cloak, representing Aragon's kingdom colour. On his back was a great Two-handed sword, clearly Antonio cared a lot about lethality instead of defence. Behind him was the Ratwoman Xixi, she wore her skimpy attire, two daggers and a handheld crossbow on a side holster. Seeing her hugging Antonios back while on the horse, Uther frowned. He could not believe what he was seeing and if it was any other time he would probably have just smashed the mans head in.
During his younger years, Uther had fallen in love with a cute but feeble woman, who had after many miscarriages given him a healthy daughter. With his brothers dying in fights against the raiding warbands of Araby, there was nobody to inherit the kingdom. So he had given Antonio his only daughter's hand in marriage in hopes of uniting their two kingdoms and ensuring his bloodline continuation. It had only been a year since they got married. With only one night together no heir was yet to be produced. While his young daughter of only 17 had diligently gone back to the Empire to finish her last year of studies, what had Antonio done? Instantly after getting a chance to sleep with a female he had happily taken it. If the prince behaved like so, then who knew how many others he had bedded beforehand. King Uther knew that Antonio was an bold man, but apparently he was also extremely impulsive and lustful. He knew something needed to be done about this matter, but first, they would need to win this battle. He could not act now and risk causing division in the ranks. Thinking of this Uther shook his head in disappointment and returned to look at his men.
Coming out of the city he could see the reinforcements that they had gathered during their stay here. 30 cannons were being dragged up the mountain path by horses, and accompanying them were the survivors of Cordoba. While these men were by the stories he had heard, Elites. He had decided to put them on escort duty for the cannons. They had suffered too much already and they had earned a good rest. Behind them marched the reinforcing men and women. They were warriors of the Church of Sighard, sent here by the orders of the Aragonian Cardinal. He was a man he despised for he was a fat greedy man, always wearing the most expensive of clothes and jewelry. While Uther had for long wanted to get rid of him for long the cardinal was too wealthy and powerful of a man. With a sigh, he turned to look at the holy warriors, though what he saw was not all that holy.
Warrior nuns wore thigh-high steel armored leggings that left their toned upper thighs and buts exposed. Covering their back and front private parts was a thin white tabard, with symbols and a golden cross on it. Under it, some wore a short skirt to cover their butts and a small white G-string that only barely covered their pussy. But some young bolder sisters didn't wear the skirt and as their hips moved you could see everything except their pussys. Some of the younger ones even clearly had more sway to their hips. Clearly, they were trying to entice the men behind them. In the Church, there was a code of celibacy. The nuns and priests were not allowed to marry or enjoy carnal pleasures, but clearly, this left many younger nuns frustrated. All this was a doing of new ideas going around, people had started to talk about the human body being a beautiful thing that should not be hidden but exposed and celebrated. The Colombo Clothing company had designed their new outfits and given the nuns new body armor. Their torso was protected by boob steel armor. It was made according to the sisters breast size so they could all feel comfortable, or thats what the company said. Their entire arms are also covered by steel armor. While the head is only protected by a steel crown and a white nun hood. Their armor while scandalous, was lighter and easier to move in than what they had before, or this is what Marino had told them. Marino's influence in women's clothing styles was wast, even reaching the church. While arousing they were, no man would dare to touch these well-trained beauties or face the wrath of God. As their weapons, they used spiked flails, basically a spiky metal ball attached to the metal handle by a chain. Some had one metal ball and others had many and as defense, they had a shield embedded with a cross. Thinking of those new dresses that they designed Uther could remember his daughter wearing one of those skin-tight dresses, that showed off all of her curves. While the store was great in hygienic products, making people healthier and look better, it was too scandalous in others. Thinking of this he shook his head once more and thought. I need to speak about this to Jesus and make him stop his sons impure products.
Warrior Priest wore red priest dresses that went to their knees and red pants under them. On top of their dress, they wore a full set of heavy plate armor and chainmail underneath. The head was exposed with only a small circular steel band around it like a crown of some sort. Their weapons only consisted of hammers. Either they would be duel-wielding hammers or using one great massive Two-handed Hammer. Luckily there was nothing shameful about their armor.
While the Nuns were well-trained long-haired women of all ages the priests were muscular bold men of all ages. The nuns were greater in numbers and would handle defense and healing, while the priests were the big damage dealers, who were few in numbers. While the nuns were a bit scandalous, Uther could see that they definitely raised the mens morale.
Since the rats were on the defense they would have to take the initiative and scale the mountain. Luckily the mountain was not too steep but no cavalry charges would be possible up there. So now the horse riders would have to ride their horses up to the mountain and then dismount before the battle started. With Xixi's guidance, they slowly moved up the mountain.
Now 72 thousand men, plus the 2 thousand warriors of the church marched up the mountain carrying the new Iberian Union flags. The colors of red, yellow, white and blue were accompanied by a great eagle whose Wings contained the coat of arms, of every great house in Iberia.
Behind the army horses dragged 30 cannon's up the mountain. These cannon's would be used to destroy the stone pillars supporting the cave roof. Since explosive cannon balls were not a thing yet, the cannon's would not be that affected against the rat swarm.
They had started early in the morning as the climb up the mountain would take at least 10 hours since it was 30 kilometers long of a trail. Luckily it was a simple and easy mountain trail to travel.
For the first 15 kilometers, the way was pretty simple as small roads went up to a hillside farmhouse. But from there they would have to follow the small Genil river through the mountain forest. Along the way only small abandoned hunting lodges.
As they marched through the forest Uther guided his horse by the rains made sure to keep a distance from Antonio and his new companion.
'Your Highness, I was wondering how did you get your arms to be so big and strong. They are even thicker than my well-trained legs, you must exercise a lot.' Xixi said as she fondled Antonio's big arms.
As Antonio guided his horse through the forest by the rains he used his free hand to squeeze Xixis's big butt and said playfully. ' Hahaha! No, I do not exercise a lot. For that is for commoners and the ungifted. I am of royal blood and as you know everything about us is naturally bigger than the average man.' He was fondling her ass under her cloak so nobody could see. But Uther could still hear her muffled moans.
Annoyed by their sinful and lustful banter he decided to command more of his men to scout ahead as he increased his pace and focused on the peaceful sound of the small river.
Then at the 15-kilometer mark, Xixi yelled to Uther who was way ahead of them to turn south. According to her, they would have to walk south for about 5 kilometers before they could get out of the forest.
Following the small mountain trails left by the sheepherders they enjoyed the beautiful views. The mountain of Mulhacen was only 3,482 metres so most of it was covered in green short grass.
After walking for 20 kilometers they stopped to rest before continuing the rest of the way. As Uther sat down close to his men he could hear it, quietness. Only the sounds of the 74 thousand men talking and walking could be heard. The mountain was otherwise deathly silent, there were no birds or animals just them.
All this emptiness and quietness created an eerie feeling. Such silence caused some men's superstitious minds to run wild and create their own nightmare hallucinations. Uther could hear a group of peasant Levies talking while drinking from the stream.
' This mountain must be cursed, I tell you.'
One man said.
'Nonsense. It's clearly the rats doing. It's them that have cursed this mountain.' another man said.
' Indeed indeed.' some of the men agreed.
' But what if this mountain has been cursed by something else, something much darker and more evil.' The man countered.
This made the men around him sweat as their imaginations ran wild.
Then a man said. ' It could be one of those Black Elves. I have heard stories of them having magic that can make a man turn to ash in a second.'
Hearing this the men started to argue. ' There is no way that could be the case. Those Black Elves are way too far in the East. How could they come here.'
The man just laughed upon hearing this. ' Hahahha. Didn't you hear what I said? They have magic.'
Scoffing at these words the other man countered. ' Ohh. And do tell me what is this magic anyway. Have you ever seen magic yourself?'
Thinking of this the man said. ' Well. What if this is the doing of those Beastmen? I have also heard of them sometimes making the mountainsides their home. '
As the peasant levies thought on the men's words and started to Make up their own conspiracy theories. Uther did the sign of the hammer praying that such things were not true.
He had only heard stories of the Beastmen. Supposedly they once ruled the human lands but were driven out. Although there were reports of women and cattle going missing sometimes and suspicious sightings of them deep in the forests depts. If their threat was added onto the rats, he didn't like their odds of winning.
Far at the back over seeing the cannons protection was the Jesuits and their additional 1 thousand men.
Helping to push the cannons were the 4 force users. Together they levitated a heavy cannon and it's ammunition cart over a small stream of water.
The cannoneers just watched in wonder as some of them made the sign of the hammer in prayer. For them this was the first time seeing such things. ' They must be blessed by Sighard.' the men whispered to each other.
Seeing Karl help them lift the cannons, Ledo asked curiously. ' Hey Karl. How's your bones holding up? It's not even been a month and your moving around like nothing happened.'
Looking at his hand Karl wondered the same thing. He had not even though of it. But here he was moving around like nothing happened, opening and closing his hand like normal. Actually he felt even stronger than before. He felt like his bones had reinforced them selves. Thinking of this Karl answered jokingly. ' Don't know. I guess that I must be favoured by the force as all.'
Bragi frowned and said. ' Why would the force favor a doofus like you?'
Ledo smiles hearing this and suggested. ' Ohh, that's an interesting though. Maybe he's strong in the force, because unlike we who have to empty our minds to get closer to the force. His mind is already empty to begin with, giving him a closer connection to the force.'
Ledo and Bragi just started laughing as Karl frowned and shook his fist in anger.
Quickly intervening Jesus joined in. ' Now now. Let us not fight amongst ourselves. Just focus on the mission for I feel that we are near. '

After the forest, the mountain slope would become too steep so they decided to leave all the horses except the ones pulling the cannons behind.
After a small rest, they left the forest and started to climb the slope of the mountain. Along a mountain river, they went, past a waterfall and onwards. No more were there trees just grass and bushes. Between 3 mountain ridges they marched in two big lines of men. As they got closer the greenery was less and less, replaced by rocks.
Coming behind the middle mountain ridge the two lines once again combined. Now the landscape only had rocks and the river was reduced to a small stream coming down past a small mountain slope.
In the front of the army Antonio and Uther stood, accompanied by their guide Xixi. Pointing forward at the slope Xixi said. ' Just behind that is the entrance to the underground. If you set your cannon's up there you should be able to hit the underground entrance.'
Hearing her words Antonio looked back to not even see the cannons being dragged up the mountain as they were still so far behind and behind the mountain ridge. Seeing this he patted her head and spoke. ' All in good time, my little friend. All in good time.' Antonio was not brave enough to call Xixi his whore in front of Uther, so he compromised.
Walking up the slope on top of the small plateau above they could finally see it. The entrance to the underground caves was only 600 meters away. They all stopped and watched in awe, as the soldiers gathered and started to stare in wonder. ' What is this? ' King Uther asked in wonder.
' This my friend is the entrance to the ancient Dwarven kingdom of Notos. I, myself have only heard tales about them, old legends. Sadly my father never let me come here to see it. He said that this door was sealed shut from the inside, a weary long time ago. And ever since then, no human has been able to open it. ' Antonio explained.
' Indeed your majesty you are correct. This was once a great dwarven hold whose tunnels once reached far and wide. All the way to the lands of Araby and nort to the Pyrenees mountains. Long time ago they tried to seal themselves inside the mountain away from the evils of the outside world. But little did they know the outside world was the least of their worries.' Xixi said.
Looking at the coming battlefield In front of them Uther frowned and said. ' I don't like this. Fighting in a valley. We are surrounded by mountains and once we leave this plateau we'll have to fight up words, to the mountain entrance.'
Antonio smiled as he patted Uther's back and spoke. ' Come on its not that bad. All we have to do is push about 600 meters up that slope. After which will be able to encircle the rats at that entrance and massacre them. Easy right?'
Uther scoffed at Antonio's overly optimistic attitude and said. ' We shall see.'
In front of them, They could see a massive 100-meter-high and 20-meter-wide Stone Door. There were old dwarven statues carved into the mountain right next to the door and above the door was a dwarven statue in the form of a helmet with two horns that started to spew out smoke.
Seeing this Xixi pointed to the smoke and said with a little panic in her voice. ' They are coming.'
Seeing the smoke rise Uther quickly lept into action and started to command. ' Quickly get those cannons up here and get into your formations. '
Then with that said a green flag was raised on the ridge and a horn was blown. ' Ooooooo, ooooooo, oooooo. '
Hearing these commands, the flag carriers and captains of each infantry block led their men into their positions. The captains were all the nobles of the realms. They were followed by their supporting ranged units. Each units flag had the Iberian union flag but we're different as they each had their own number on them.
With this 3 massive lines started to be drawn. Although the two other lines would take some time to form. As the men were still so far down the mountain. Each line was supposed to consist of over 24 thousand men, Infantry and ranged units. But the line only could stretch for 400 meters, covering the entire mountain valley. Many units had to run for some distance to get into position. But most weren't able to even get into position as the army was so big that they couldn't all fit into a line. Instead of a formation, it looked like a stampede of men stretching for many kilometers down the mountain.
The first line formed into multiple boar head formations forming a deadly teeth-like patterned line, meant to break through to the mountain entrance. Behind each formation were the ranged fighters. Or that was what it should have been
King Uther had decided to lead from the front with his massive war hammer.
Or that was what it should have been. Seeing the unorganized mass of people moving up the mountain slope. Uther decided to do something. King Uther decided to lead from the front with his massive war hammer. While Antonio would try to organize the army and lead them up the mountain while staying at the back lines commanding. Xixi would accompany him with her two daggers and a handheld crossbow in her holster.
' Kiiiiiiii, Kiiiiiiiii, kiiiiiiiii.' With that came the sound of the massive thick stone doors opening. They produced a deep stone grinding sound as stone grinding against stone with a loud. ' Crrrrrrrrrrr!' Behind the door, thousands of red beating eyes moved. From the not yet fully open door entrance thousands of ratmen wielding crude weapons and rags emerged. The ground shook beneath their feet and the groans of shifting rocks almost drowned out the shrill climax of the chanting rats as they charged.
Seeing this the men tensed, their breath thickened and hearts started to beat fast. Some weaker-willed peasant Levies pissed themselves in fright as the rats poured out the door like the flood of rats they were.
King Uther seeing some of his men waiver, quickly climbed on a boulder overlooking his men and spoke while waiving his massive two-handed hammer. ' Hold your ground! Hold your ground! Sons of Iberia hear me! Do not falter! Remember why we are here! Remember what we fight for! You have all seen what these foul creatures have done to these lands! If we do not stop them here and now, then who will? No one I tell you! For we are the last and first line of defense for all of Iberia! Hold firm and fight, here and now with me against these foul rats! For Iberia! '
Then he looked to his men and pointed to the rat swarm yelling. ' Charge!' With that, the men charged like a horde of stampeding bulls and a great horn was blown. ' Ooooooo, ooooooo, oooooo. ' The first line consisting of 24 Thousand men charged while yelling. ' For Iberia! ' Seeing his men Charge past the boulder he stood on, Uther leaped off the boulder and joined the mob of men, in their glorious charge.
While this was happening the all most endless lines of men overlooked by Antonio were sent forward. And at the back lines down the mountain came the warriors of the church and Jesus with his 1 thousand men, who were pushing the cannons up the mountain, as fast as they could.
Hearing the battle already starting Jesus looked up towards the mountain. They were still so far away that they hadn't even yet left the tree line. He frowned as he yelled. ' Come on men! Move those legs, push those cannons. If we don't hurry we are gonna miss the battle. '
Jesus just watched as the many dukes and lords of the realms led their quicker men past them up the mountain slope. They had been at this for quite a while and if his assumption was correct, some men had not even yet left the city as the mountain could not accompany them all at the same time.

Now only 300 meters away the human army slowed down and prepared to receive the child-sized ratmen charge.
Running down the hill the rat's pace increased and many lost their footing stumbling to the hard ground, smashing their rat faces on the rocks. As they tried to get up and move forward they were quickly crushed to death by their own kind. Uncaring of their own or not just noticing them they trampled them to death. Rat squeaks of death and victory could be heard as they crazyly charged as if they were on some kind of drugs.
200 meters away the Iberian army stopped and the ranged weapons started to fire. 2 thousand muskets fired up the hill, not even picking targets as the swarm was so dense that such things were unnecessary. In an instant, over a thousand rats were ripped to shreds by the musket balls. Heads were blown apart as brain matter flew, limbs were torn apart and rats were turned into swizz cheese. The rocky gray-colored ground started to turn red. Some fearsome rats ran uncaring of the bleeding holes in their bodies.
From the musket smoke cloud, 3 thousand arrows and 6 hundred bolts flew, skewering the rats. As none of them had Shields they were quickly turned into dead holsters. Heads, arms, legs and torsos were pierced. Wounded rats fell to the ground only to be trampled to death by their own. The luckier ones were instantly killed. Some who were not hit tripped on their comrades corpses and impaled them selves on their own daggers.
From a distance a lone archer, standing on a Boulder watched as his arrow pierced a rats torso, and as it fell on the ground, the rat behind tripped and fell on top of the arrow that already pierced the other rat. With a loud cheer he said. ' Yes! I got a double kill!'
In an instant, almost 4 thousand rats had died. Seeing the rats getting massacred by missile fire the mens morale instantly rose. Loud cheers of the men were heard all over. Even the men below who hadn't got a clue of what was going on cheered happily.
Then as the muskets loaded 2 more arrow and bolt volleys were fired. With each volley rats were killed and the rat lines thinned.
Now with a shattered and depleted line of rats, they clashed into the Iberian Shields, swords and spears. The Impact was brutal, for the rats as many rats were instantly skewered by the spears coming over the frontal sword-wielding line. The skewered rats blood flew onto the steel shields painting them red as they prepared to receive the charge. With great force, the rats threw themselves against the defending line. With great force some rats jumped headfirst into the steel shields, breaking their necks and skulls, causing instant death. Others stabbed and clawed at the shields while some tried to stab over the shields only to hit the soldier's steel helmets.
With gritted teeth the men hid behind their shields holding the line, until their eyes opend and they felt it. The charge, it felt weak, nothing like what they had expected. Feeling the weak charge from the rats the men smiled and an order was given. From the back Uther Yelled. ' Push! Push them back into their hole!' With that, the men thrust their weapons forward, skewering the rats. Step by step they pushed forward and left behind rat corpses on the rocky ground, as they moved up towards the entrance.
As they walked muskets loaded and once ready fired, tearing the rats into shreds. Constant arrow volleys were fired skewering many as the line moved forward little by little, they gained ground. Minutes went by as the rats were being massacred. Nonetheless they kept coming endlessly. A few unlucky souls were killed as the rats managed to get past the shields and stab the men through their armour's gaps. Seeing men die in the front line Uther charged into the central front line and started to turn the rats into meat paste. With a single wide swing he sent 5 now broken small rats flying and with a downward strike he crushed a child sized rat into meat paste. Little by little the rocky ground turned red as bodies of men and rats started to litter the slope.
As men died or tiered they were changed for new men. Little by little the small stream coming down the mountain started to turn red with blood.
From below the slope Antonio watched as Uther pushed up the slope. With his commands, he encouraged the men forward. ' Fuck those rats up! Show them what men can do! Advance! '
Watching more and more men join the battle with more ranged units opening fire and joining in on the massacre of the rats, Antonio smiled.
Watching all this happen Xixi got worried as she spoke to Antonio. ' This is not right.'
Smiling he patted her head and said. ' Don't worry soon it will be all over and we can put this behind us.'
Shaking his hand off her head she looked at him and said. ' No that's not what I mean. I mean that the battle seems strange. Why are they just sending the rat slaves into the battle? Where are the elites and the monsters?'
Hearing these words Antonio frowned and started to think. As he asked. ' Do you think they are leading us into a trap? But if they decide to ambush us inside the tunnels, then it will be too late, as we would have already blown up the support pillars, collapsing the tunnel.'
Shaking her head Xixi said. ' No. My kin have blind moles with them. While they are slow digging through rock, they can still do it. I fear that there are other entrance's around here which they could use to surprise us.'
Hearing Xixis assesment of the situation, Antonio agreed. What they were seeing now was not what the reports had told them of the rats tactics. So thinking of this Antonio sent peasants hunters to scout the surroundings for any rat holes.
***
Time passed and the slaughter continued. No more was there any real formations, just two lines of different races smashing into each other. Bodies of rats and men littered the mountain slope as blood flew down the mountain. Uther and some men sat on rocks watching the massacre as they rested and drank from their leather canteens. The battle was a long one so they needed to swap out every once in a while to rest. As the army moved forward archers were able to pick some of their arrows up.
Down below the slope people watched in wonder as the once pure clean mountain river was now turned red from blood.

Coming up on the slope Jesus could see King Uther's first line start to get close to the massive stone doors, now less than 200 meters away from the entrance. From his left he heard Prince Antonio's command. ' Captain Jesus get your men and the warriors of the church to the front line. Protect the king.'
This confused Jesus. ' Your Royal Highness I do not mean to question your decision, but what about the cannons?'
With a serious expression Antonio turned to look at Jesus and said. ' That is not your concern anymore captain. I fear that the ratmen are planning something and I need you and your elite warriors to make sure that the King doesn't fall to their schemes. Now go.'
With that command Jesus bowed in respect to the king and rallied his men and the warriors of the church to him. ' To me son's and daughters of Sighard! With haste! We must go protect the King! '
With an unorganized formation they ran to support the front lines.
Now only 180 meters away from the entrance, Uther In excitement swinged his hammer left and right crushing many rats in his path. ' Charge men! Charge! We are all most there! Send these vile rats back into their holes! '
Then a mighty horn was heard coming from the mountain entrance. ' Kiiiiiiiiii, Kiiiiiiiiii! ' Two times it was blown and out from the darkness it emerged. Uther could see it a massive 2 and a half meters tall white rat, wielding a man-sized war mace. It wore nothing but a loincloth around its privates, letting everyone see it's massive white fur-covered muscles. Next to it was a black fully armored rat, wielding a two-handed hammer and riding a Molebear. Behind them emerged rats covered in black metallic armor and many rat-ogres. As the white rat walked, Uther could see it smirk arrogantly as the rats chanted it's name. ' Azzrag! Azzrag! Azzrag! ' Then it lifted it's massive arm's, silencing the rats and next he pointed forward. With crazed Cheers, the rats charged towards the humans. The white rat just stood there smiling in anticipation of the carnage to come.
Seeing the massive Rat ogres coming Uther got up and attempted to make it to the front but it was too late. With great force 18 rat ogres jumped and threw their massive bodies onto the human lines. In an instant, the lines broke as hundreds of men were crushed or sent flying down the slope onto other men. Most rat ogres being now isolated in the middle of the human lines were quickly skewered from all sides killing them fast, but some resisted. An armored rat ogre wielding a massive dark metal sword started to spin in a circle like crazy. With its massive sword, it cut men into halves like a knife through apples it sliced through them. Everybody in a two-meter radius was sliced into pieces. Guts and body parts flew all around painting the men with their filth. Having their comrade's guts and blood fly all over them some of the men panicked and started to release their bladders creating a sickening smell. Seeing this a peasant Levy out of desperation threw his spear at the rat ogre. By luck or skill, nobody knew the spear landed between its feet making the creature trip on it. With a hard thud, the ogre fell to the ground. Seeing the Rat ogre on the ground the humans piled on top of it and started to hack and slash its flesh, killing it slowly and painfully. As the rat ogre died in pain squealing like a pig, the Black-armored rats joined the fight.
With the lines broken, the rats ran into the scattered lines creating a rat and human Mosh Pit. The fearsome man-sized black armored rats cut the peasant Levies up easily as their weapons could not pierce their armor. Only the well-trained and armored men could stand against them. An armored swordsman watched as a man's unarmored head was split open like a melon in front of him. As blood sprayed out the man's head as he fell lifeless to the ground, he could see the Black rat's red eyes focusing now on him.
Seeing the rat lift its massive glaive for another attack he raised his metallic shield to counter it. With a hard metallic thud, the glaive cut into the shield cutting his shield-wielding hand into two. He saw his armored hand dropping limp onto the red hard rocky ground. The man screamed in agonizing pain as he felt the rat try to pull its glaive out from the shield. In anger, the man jumped forward sending his sword through the rat's armor gap in its neck. He smiled in pain, until behind the rat came a child-sized rat wearing rags and a short sword. with a quick motion, it ran over its bigger dead comrade and sent its sword into the man's unprotected groin. Out of shock and pain, he dropped his sword and fell backward as he held his bleeding groin. Laying on top of his dead comrades bodies, bleeding and dying himself he watched as another man took his place and smashed the small rats face in with a hammer and continued onwards.
In the center of the battle, a fearsome armored rat ogre was smashing human heads and bodies with its hammer. Seeing his men get killed Uther charged past his frightened men and before the ogre could react he smashed its right arm.
Out of pain, it dropped the hammer and as it turned to look Uther smashed its knee sending it onto its other knee. Now low enough Uther smashed and smashed its big rat head until the armored helmet caved in and something green and red started to leek out. Seeing this green glowing stuff come out of its smashed head Uther felt sickened. There was some kind of a warm but sickening feeling about the green liquid.
At another corner, Ratbag and its Molebear were smashing heads and ripping human bodies Into pieces. The Molebear was a fearsome creature. It was blind but had great hearing and a sense of smell. Its skin was dirty looking and had stones covering it like a second set of skin. Its nails and claws were sharp and long as a sword, and its hamster-like teeth were thick and sturdy meant for breaking rocks or bones.
But its biggest weakness was its sense of smell. as it tore men into pieces with its teeth and shredded the weak human flesh with its claws. Ratbag swinged his hammer down onto the human's heads. Out of fear the humans urinated into their pants and shat themselves, creating an unbearable smell. Against Ratbags will, the mole bear snorted out of disgust and retreated to the mountain entrance.
The battle went on and on as neither side was able to move forward. Both sides had a nearly endless number of men and rats coming into a single small choke point to fight.
In the piles of bodies and endless mosh pit Jesus fought trying to find the King but he couldn't see him as the rats were constantly throwing themselves at his blade.
With seat and blood running down his face, Uther looked around the battlefield in horror. The bodies had started to pile up, no longer did they fight on rocky ground but they fought on flesh and bone. The entire ground was littered to the brim with bodies. In front of him once was a boulder now it looked just like a massive pile of rat and human corpses. Now even the stream had turned into a small river of blood. It was only 20 percent water and the rest was human feces, piss and blood.
Seeing no end in sight and it was impossible to tell who was winning and who was not, Uther decided to climb the body pile. There he pointed his great hammer to the mountain entrance and yelled. ' Azzrag come and face me! '
Jesus Finally heard Uther's voice but couldn't see him behind all the corpses, but nonetheless, he quickly started to make his way towards the voice.
Azzrag's arrogant face turned to surprise as his interest peaked. Seeing a small human challenging him he smiled. He could recognize him to be the human leader, from his fancy armor. Without hesitation, Azzrag picked up its massive mace and charged towards Uther with a smile.
Seeing it coming the rats quickly made way but some slower ones were crushed or sent flying as it charged uncaring of others. A few brave humans stood in front taking the brunt of its charge but with one swing of its mace, they were turned into a bloody mess and sent flying.
With its speed slowed down Azzrag went for an overhead swing. Quickly Uther dodged under the swing past the rat's defence and once in position, he sent his hammer into its knee. Bringing it down just like with the Rat Ogre. As Uther went for an overhead swing towards the rats head.
Azzraq with quick movement sent an elbow backhand strike into Uthers armored face, stunnig him. Following up with a sideways strike from the hammer Uther was sent flying onto a pile of corpses. As Azzrag laughed in victory Uther mumbled something like a prayer to himself in silence as he picked up his hammer and got up.
Azzrags face turned serious as he watched the man stumble towards him, with blood coming out from his helmets gaps. Happily accepting the challenge the White rat charged. As he came down words with another powerful overhead strike Uther decided to match him with an underhand strike. With a loud bang hammer and mace collided creating a small shockwave, making everybody nearby death for a moment.
Azzrag staggered backward, feeling his hands go numb, the human was strong even for him he thought. But Uther on the other hand had had it much worse his arm bones were shattered and his hammer dropped with a hard thud to the ground. As Uther fell to his knees not feeling much anymore in his body he saw it, Around the mountain as if a chain reaction holes opened up everywhere. He could see swarms of rats and moles pouring out all around his army and then he saw it, a mace coming straight towards his head and then darkness.
