Daemond saw the flutter of Annica's hair before he snapped out of his shock.
"Wait, Annica!" Daemond shouted and chased.
It didn't take long for the man to catch up and grab Annica's arm.
"Let me go," Annica growled with tears streaming down her face.
"Please, wait, Annica. Please let me explain. I didn't want to do it. But Father's orders-"
Annica could see that the man was out of breath, almost panting. Never before had she seen Daemond show such emotion.
"I must carry out the King's orders. The evidence we had at the time was very damning of your father. Not just misappropriation of royal funds but also rebellion. That kind of charge is very heavy.
