Two guards dragged Basil's limp body out of the Capital's borders. Prince Fillip ordered them to kill and dispose of the man's body away from the palace so that no one would suspect anything.
"I think this is far enough," one of the guards said to the other. "We kill him and leave the body here. The wolves and coyotes will take care of the rest."
The other man nodded.
The two released their grip and Basil collapsed to the ground. The man was already unable to move. His face was battered, his eyes swollen and unable to open, blood flowing from his nose and slobbering mouth. But the man was still breathing.
"Do you want to do it or me?" one of the guards asked.
Without answering, the other guard grabbed the sword from his waist and lifted it, about to plunge it into the back of Basil who lay face down beneath him.
