Prince Filip read the letter that the royal pigeon had just delivered with a frown on his face. After a while, he handed the piece of paper to the old man standing in front of him.
"Agripa suspected that Timothy's death was due to poison," the prince said. "He speculates that Daemond did it."
The old man named Lar Iuba walked over to take the paper from the Prince's hand. His long brown robe moved along with his fat body. His round, greasy face looked shiny under the light of the room's torches. So did his thick lips. He seemed to have just finished eating something fatty when the Prince suddenly summoned him to the palace.
While Lar bowed his bald head and read the letter, Filip continued.
"I told you he was dangerous, Lar."
Lar rolled up the paper in his hand and placed it on the prince's desk before slipping his hands back into the wide sleeves of his robe.
