From the forming ball of devil essence, a thin, red stream slowly stretched away from its source, moving towards the endless darkness of the God Space. In the dark expanse of the devil's abode, the light of a thin red string fought against the encroaching shadows, as it moved across the dark lands with no objective.
This continued for some time before the end of the stream seemingly came to a stop, this is what would appear to happen in the eyes of a mortal onlooker. But, in actuality, the string had penetrated the very fabric of the ever-dark God Space, leaving the devil's temporary dwelling in order to reach a certain place.
In a vacant realm of purple, a thin red string pierced through the sky and slowly sunk towards the ground, the flowing energy in this realm distorting around the string as if to clear the way for an important figure. What could the powers of the mortal realm do in the face of gods, other than bow their heads, the berth between a mortal and a god was like that of heaven and earth.
Insurmountable.
Upon reaching the bottom of the land of purple, the string began to coalesce at a singular point, resulting in a figure gradually coming into view. With a height similar to that of the average human, small horns protruding from its forehead and claw-like appendages, the Devil of Corruption had created his first demon solider, the first of many that would form a part of his great army that would allow him to hasten his conquest of the Primordial Seed.
Of course, this benefit wasn't exclusive to him, the other devils, who had been roped into this game of gods, would all come to earn to ability once they gained the necessary level of influence. But, this is where Devil Paths came into play, those with stronger concepts and higher paths would naturally have soldiers with greater strength. The devil was sure, that among his species, his concept of Corruption ranked quite highly, if not among those that sat at the peak.
Reflected within the deep purple of his eyes was the newly born demon soldier, it looked quite similar to the low-ranking demons of his previous world, this was another example of something consistent in this new world with his previous world. Stroking his chin, he pondered for a moment, gathering his thoughts, as he began to put together a theory.
'From the looks of things, the Primordial Seed gathers the powers of various worlds and brings them together to create a chaotic power system of its own'
This was his initial line of thinking.
'However, it's possible that this Node system is exclusive to the Primordial Seed and the other powers that have been pulled in from other worlds only act as supplementary abilities'
This conclusion had been drawn from his observations of the power gain between each level of the inhabitants of Genesis, it was significantly higher when compared to his home world.
Inspecting his first demon soldier, the devil could only shake his head, there was one thing that seemed to remain unchanged. The power system of the demons.
'It possesses a demon core, and there are no signs of any Nodes within its body, is it because it was born from my essence or are we different from other existences?'
It was a question that had long plagued the devil, since his days as an ordinary demon foot solider, although he regarded Blaheim as his home world, it was common knowledge among the demons that their ancestors were invaders.
So where did the demons and devils come from?
That question could only be answered by the being known as the Primordial of Evil, the one and only First Devil. And, there was only one way to ever reach that lofty being.
Become a Primordial.
He had to reach the zenith of the universe to receive his answers.
Such a daunting task was the aspiration of all beings, yet only a fated few were capable of completing it. Not everyone was destined for the peak but the devil felt it in his very bones, his existence. It screamed at him that above all the worlds, at the very pinnacle of the universe, there was a throne waiting for him, it was merely a matter of time before he took his rightful place.
He was destined for the peak.
And when that time came, he would receive the answers to all his unanswered questions, for now, all that could be done was to continue to grow, to nurture his path, to corrupt everything that blocked his path to the apex.
With that, he raised his arms and churned the essence within his body, manipulating it to trigger the Creation Technique once again.
He had an army to create.

While the beginnings of a demon army were coming together in another realm, a group of goblin scouts were exploring an abandoned village. At the centre of the village, Sherna stood, inspecting the remains of a stone statue, contrary to what others would think, the female goblin was not responsible for the statue's current state.
From her preliminary investigation, it would appear the village's previous inhabitants were responsible for this destruction, which came as quite a shock to her. The deity depicted by the statue was a being that the Beserk Goblins would give their lives for with no hesitation. To see the statue, representing this very being, in its current condition would no doubt bring shock to any goblin who was aware of the beliefs of the Beserk Goblins, it was for this very reason that Kornac worried for her.
The Beserk Goblins' fanatical belief in their deity, Vorthar, the God of Unbridled Wrath, meant that if they were to discover Sherna's intention for coming to their village was to spread the belief of another deity, she would be torn apart brutally and used as a sacrifice to Vorthar.
If those bloodthirsty but devout goblins had abandoned their god, it meant that another higher being had appeared in the Forest of Aeternitas. And if this being held enough power to bring the Beserk Goblins into the folds of their control, then the followers of Corruption had quite a powerful contender standing against them.
The reason for this was to do with the peculiarity of the goblins that had once inhabited this empty village.
The Beserk Goblins possessed a unique mutation which granted them the Beserk Strength Node, which replaced the standard Strength Node. Along with granting the standard increase in strength every time they enhanced the node, the mutated node also allowed this group of goblins to use an ability known as Rage. For a set amount of time, in exchange for their intelligence, the Beserk Goblins would gain a boost in all parameters of their physique. This meant increased agility, strength and endurance, for beings like goblins who already had low intelligence, such an ability was perfectly geared towards them.
With the great enhancements the followers of Corruption received from their Lord, Sherna was sure that they could crush the Beserk Goblins but the matter of those wild goblins switching faiths changed the circumstances of the situation. There was a possibility that they also received some boons from their new deity, allowing their already great power to experience more growth.
For now, all she could do was hope that by the time they faced their new foe, they had gained sufficient power to take them down with ease, otherwise, what awaited them was a difficult battle.
Only time would tell what fate had in store for their goblin village, but in her heart, Sherna believed that they would triumph over the enemy, she believed in her strength and her ambitions and most importantly, she believed in the Lord of Corruption.
The being who had changed their destinies.

Rows of purple beings stood attentively, each of them had curved blades protruding from their arms as well as long, whip-like tails with arrow-shaped tips. The lack of movement would make one think these beings were life-like sculptures, but they were simply awaiting the orders of the being who created them.
Slumped on his throne with an unsettling grin streaked across his face, the devil focused upon the soldiers that had been born from his essence. In the barren lands of the realm that housed his army, there were about a hundred demon soldiers, despite countless attempts, he was unable to create anymore. This was probably the limit of his current influence level, and though it was not a large number, victory wasn't necessarily determined by the size of your army. Strategy was quite a major factor that could allow those with significantly fewer numbers to turn the tables on their opponents.
Another factor was the individual strength of the beings in the armies, an individual at a certain stage of power possessed the ability to decimate armies, although among the current followers of Corruption there was no such being, his apostle and priest were both elites with enough strength to turn the tides of low-level battles.
And at this current stage of the conquest of Genesis, low-level battles were considered highly important in the devil's eyes as they would set the foundation for the civilisation he wished to establish.
Only with a strong foundation could a civilisation stand strong and spread its reach all over the world.
