Chapter 2 - Chapter 2, The Youthful Age of Youths

The students didn't have to wait for too long. Soon, the door opened, and a teacher came out. He motioned for everyone to him to the principal's office.

They did what they were told without arguing and followed. When they all arrived at the office, they found the principal and two teachers sitting behind the large table inside the room.

The teachers all wore solemn expressions and the head teacher looked like he just finished having an important conversation. In addition, they had a files in front of them.

The principal gestured for students to take a seat and said: "Welcome, my young scholars." The rest of them murmured their greetings. "Today I summoned you here for a very important project. A rare opportunity. " The principal continued, "I'm sure most of you have been curious about why you were summoned. As you all are aware, this school doesn't have a good sports team. "

Everyone nodded and muttered some understanding noises and made no comment on the topic. Then the assistant principal spoke up: "All you athletes' skills have been buried by coming to this Academy. We are an exclusive institution with no sports facilities whatsoever, which makes our institution different from others."

He paused and then the principal continued: "However, a week ago, we were invited to a conference by the education committee. There is a new project being launch in every country of Stellar called *The youthful age of youths. * It focuses on sport and entertainment. " The principal paused again and glanced down at his paper as if he was looking over something important that had just happened. Finally, he looked up and continued: "It is a great honor that you will participate in this project. If anyone has an objection, speak up now and I will remove your name from the list."

Everyone else shook their heads meaning there was no objection.

One of the teachers took out fifteen golden cards and distributed them; "Our school was given fifteen invitation cards. When you arrive at the youth sports camp, show this invitation and you will be allowed in."

"Teacher, when is the program starting?" Liu Shan asked the question that others wanted to ask as well.

"Their opening ceremony will be in three days from now. Which is next Monday. " The teacher replied.

The teachers talked more about what they knew of the program. It wasn't much; it mainly focused on youth sports - Tennis, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer. The teacher also explained how the program would work. The Youthful Age of Youths was to provide a better training environment and promote sports around the world.

Just like the Golden Bridge Academy, other schools were also sending out their best athletes to participate in the program.

Lu Cheng stood at the train station, his heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nervousness. This was his first time taking the train, and he couldn't help but worry about missing his stop. Clutching his backpack tightly on his back, he reminded himself to stay attentive throughout the journey.

He lived through the northern border with his father. His father is a high ranking military officer. Therefore his home was on the northern border in case of an unexpected attack so they could be prepared and defend the country at any time.

Two years ago, his grandpa went to visit them. Lu Cheng was curious about the world outside the border and asked to leave with his grandpa, but his father refused.

Therefore, his grandpa made a deal with him. His grandpa gave him an instruction book along with tennis equipment and said when Lu Cheng mastered all the techniques in the book, then he should go to S city to find him.

Lu Cheng has been training diligently these two years, when he learns all the techniques, his father allows him to leave and find his grandpa. He also wrote down all the necessary roasts that Lu Cheng needs to follow to the Lu family resident in S city.

"Please pay heed to the fact that the F train to A city and B city has been canceled owing to the weather condition in A city. The A train to S city is timely arriving at station 4."

As the announcement echoed through the station, the A train to S city arrived. Lu Cheng followed the crowd, stepping onto the train he found a seat near the window. He settled in and looked out, eager eyes fixed on the passing scenery, However, he made sure to keep an eye on the stops, not wanting to miss his destination.

"Young boy, is it your first time on the train?" An old granny sitting not far away noticed his movement and asked in concern.

"Yes, is it that obvious?" Lu Cheng ask in embarrassment

"Very obvious, you look so alert. If you don't mind me asking, where are you going?"

"To S city main station."

"No need to worry. That's the last stop for the A train. You don't need to worry about missing your stop." The old granny said with a smile

"Thanks a lot." Lu Cheng nervous nerves relaxed a little and he chatted with the old granny before her stop.

The train glided smoothly along the tracks, the rhythmic clatter creating a soothing backdrop to Lu Cheng's thoughts. He watched as the cityscape gradually transformed into more tall and beautiful buildings.

Finally, the train came to a halt at S city main train station. Lu Cheng gathered his belongings and stepped off the train, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over him.

He opened his small notebook, where his father had carefully written down the instructions for his next destination. According to the notes, he was to walk north to the 11th street bus stop.

Following the directions, Lu Cheng made his way towards the bus stop. However, as he arrived, he noticed a sign indicating that the bus was delayed and would arrive in 30 minutes. Frustration crept in, and he found himself growing bored with the wait.

Restless, Lu Cheng decided to take a walk to pass the time. Just a short distance away from the bus stop, he stumbled upon a magnificent tennis court.

The vibrant green of the court contrasted beautifully with the bright blue sky above. Curiosity piqued, Lu Cheng walked over to the tennis court and stood by the fence, watching the intense matches unfold before his eyes. The players moved gracefully across the courts, their swift movements and powerful shots captivating him.

The sound of tennis balls being struck filled the air, accompanied by the occasional cheers and applause from the spectators.

As he watched, Lu Cheng couldn't help but look curiously on one court.

On one side of the net stood one boy between the ages of 15 to 17, he had an arrogant look on his face as he intercepted the other players' attacks. Across the net stood nine boys breathing heavily as they struggled to keep up with him.
