"Excuse me, is this inn open?"
The wooden door near the kitchen creaked open. Rippling strands of dazzling white hair flowing into the room with the warm wind of the mainland.
Soft clacks resonated from the ground as the person's black leather heels met the floor. The tall figure's shirt was unbuttoned and tugged into his pants, revealing the dragon tattoo on his body.
He was beautiful
Li Jun and the guy's eyes met. It was sharp and upturned – with abstract colors of greenish-yellow and blue that complement magnificently with his red eyeshadow. They were absolutely alluring, as if there was a whole planet inside his orbs…
A planet in his eyes?…Wait. This guy was the same guy I met after the apocalypse! If I remember correctly, he was Saturn.
Liu Xing turned to the new customer, "Yes our inn is open…WHOA MISTER, Is that thing on your hips the General Officer Badge from the emperor?!?!" he shouted excitedly at the sight of the shiny gold medal, then coughed. "Ah… My apologies, I got too excited."
"It's totally alright. Are you the owner? I'll have a room and dinner, please." The white-haired guy tossed a gold coin with his thumb cheerfully, smiling slightly.
Li Jun looked at him in awe. He wondered how the man got so much money from them, since they both started the evaluations at the same time.
"You don't need to pay, mister. Our inn supports the emperor, and you are a soldier, so I must provide you the best service I could. For the emperor and country, my loyalty knows no bounds" Liu Xing used his fighter's reflection and tossed the gold coin back to him immediately.
Despite the sudden action, the Saturn guy still managed to catch the coin effortlessly. He smirked slightly at the boy that was much smaller than him and placed a hand on his head, ruffling his hair. "I will accept your generosity, then."
How did he even become a General Officer in a span of one day?
This guy can, and will definitely kill me.
His muscles were shredded and packed in bundles as if they were raw meat in a vacuum sealer. Li Jun was also so very jealous of his god-carved face.
How much merit did his parents have to make to give birth to such a strong and beautiful man?
"You can sit over there with brother Jun, him and I will also go to the soldier qualifications tomorrow!"
Li Jun choked on his saliva and glared painfully at Liu Xing. The last thing he wanted was to get killed brutally in a small little inn run by an innocent prince.
"Ah, alright." The man walked towards the table where Jun was sitting, and sat down in front of him calmly, not showing any sign of caution or shock. He rested his arms on the table, and sat comfortably.
Does he not recognize me? Should I run?
He reached out his large hand covered by black gloves and beamed, "Good evening, my name is Ryuusei Narukami. Nice to meet youUUUUWA??!!!!" The Saturn in his eyes spun widened on his doll-like skin. He stared into the orange morning stars with his jaws slightly opened. He breathed in and out and his lips moved as if he was trying to say something, but too shocked to do so.
This guy couldn't make it any less obvious that had just recognized Li Jun. Jun had to hold in his laugh from witnessing that dumb, confused expression that didn't suit his pretty face at all. Well, at least for now, the man didn't show any sign of wanting to kill him so I supposed it was fine to remain there. It would be too difficult to explain the situation to Liu Xing, too.
Also, I shouldn't pick a fight with a guy who could break my neck with his bare hands.
Li Jun tried to look as calm as possible and replied to him with a small smile although he actually felt like screaming and crying and throwing up at the sight of him. "Hello, my name is Li Jun…Nice to meet you too…"
Now that I think of it, what was his name again? Ryu..sei? Ryuusei Narukami, right? That name was definitely Japanese. The name 'Ryuusei Narukami' sounded oddly familiar, though. But I wouldn't be surprised if he was a celebrity with that kind of appearance.
Ryuusei didn't reply; however, his expression calmed down a little. Liu Xing must've noticed the awkwardness so he interrupted, "It is very amazing, Mister Narukami, that you are fighting for China without even being Chinese. I humbly and utmostly respect you."
Ryuusei sighed with a slight grin, "It's only natural for me to help people in need! Also, no need to be so formal with me, young boy. Just call me Ryuusei," He paused, extending his hand "and might I have the pleasure of knowing your name?"
Not only was this guy inhumanely gorgeous, he also knew how to speak in a polite manner and had his ways with words. Each of his sentences ended with a soothing low-pitch one, filled with confidence, and the lyrical rhythm of his speech was melodic as if he was a poet.
The young boy grabbed Ryuusei's arms with two of his palms and happily replied, "Okay, Brother Ryuusei! My name is Liu Xing."
He got back to cooking dinner for the both of them while the God candidates were just sitting there awkwardly in silence. They were both very cautious of each other.
They pretended everything was normal after Liu Xing brought his heavenly-delicious meal and discussed ceremony plans. The boy also invited Ryuusei to his promotion ceremony, and he couldn't refuse.
"I am so lucky to meet Brother Jun and Brother Ryuusei. Please have a very nice rest, and see you tomorrow!" He bowed after he showed the two of them their rooms, and ran back to cleaning up the kitchen.
It was just Li Jun and Ryuusei standing together in the second floor's hallway. Li Jun wanted to avoid his gaze at all cost as he silently walked into his own room. As he placed his hand on the door knob, he could feel a warm presence near his ear, followed by a soothing voice.
"Meet me at midnight, Haoshang Bridge."
