Later that evening, everyone gathered inside the main living room, with food served at the table.
The room was full of cheer and laughter as the host and the guests dined and shared their last moments together.
"I don't know when I will be able to come back here again, but I will miss this place," Leeshay emotionally said as she raised the cup of wine to the people gathered, her gaze fixated on Calista, who was holding a cup with juice.
Calista beamed as she looked at the friend who had accompanied her for years and cheered to her, "Friend. Whenever you feel like dropping by. Just do so. When I miss you, I will come over. Why act as if we are separated by seas and oceans?" she teasingly asked, earning a chuckle from Leeshay.
"Indeed. If we miss each other, visit or write letters. There is indeed no need to act like we are being separated by death!" Leeshay said, toasting Calista back.
