In his mind, what was wrong with hugging her? He had hugged her many times before.

In their current society, men and women shouldn't be too close. Even holding hands could force a couple that didn't love each other to marry each other.

"I missed you, you know!" Hayes sulkily complained as he checked Calista attentively and forced her to twirl around.
Calista let this worried brother of hers do what he wanted.
"Are you done now? Are you not afraid that I might go dizzy with all the twirling?" she asked teasingly, finding his actions pretty funny.
