Calista didn't want to waste time and especially stressed herself thinking about this issue over time by keeping it to herself.
She didn't have anything to benefit from this story at all, so letting it all out at this moment felt like a good thing for her. At least she would have wonderful dreams at night and not be tormented by the restlessness.
