The village chief didn't waste any more time upon confirming what Calista wanted. So, he rang the village bell, which summoned every available villager to the village hall where the most important meetings were usually held.
Calista and Orson didn't leave the village chief's house but lingered around after Ma Susan enthusiastically persuaded them to have some food to eat.
