"Takahashi's Apartments"
Watching a TV show, Takaya and her little sister shares laughing together in evening. Both are usually do this while no activity every night as a family time. Rin sitting in the silk soft sofa tucked her two white feet, while Takaya sits on the separated sofa sipping his tea.
Leaving their problems alone they quite enjoying their time resting their brains for the next day. But the TV screen suddenly. It was a call from their elder sister that once at month calls them,
Both if them stand Infront ofbthe TV, Takaya gestures his hand swipes the pick button,
"Hello..."
"Good evening big sis!"
"Rin! Long time no see! I missed you two!"
"Vanny, it's been a while.."
"Yeah! By the way, how's going you two? I heard a lot things happened from Lania. Is everything okay?"
"Big bro got things settled. But there's a new problem to solve, we are currently working on it right now..."
Through the video call, They can see Vanny's expression became so worried about the situation,
"Takaya, are you sure you don't need Elite Team's help for this?"
"So far, we got things sorted out. Aunty Bella also supports us on this. We actually found the culprit, Asahi and I have actually made contact with them. But we lost them."
"Them?? What are we talking about? 2 people?"
"Yes, both of them are possessing the A.W.P, but I'm still not sure about which of them is The Verdant."
Vanny suddenly weirded by Takaya's statements,
"That is strange.. Anyway, please don't push yourselves. If things go wrong, try asking for our help instead..."
"Thank you, Vanny. I will ask for back up if things get out of hand. But for now Rin and I still can manage things here."
Vanny smiled on hearing Takaya's confidence in the progress. As always she is happy to see both of her siblings working together.
"Today I'm calling you guys for something not usually talked about, I have some really bad news."
Hearing Vanny state a word, both Takaya and Rin listen to what Vanny has to say.
"Firstly I wanna ask, how is Asahi doing?"
"She's doing good, but we heard from Sanna during today's mission she once again lost control when having contact with the target."
"Lost control?"
"Somehow after they're had a conversation, it triggers Asahi's 'other personality' to take over. Nearly killed the target but Sanna manages to stop her."
Hearing Takaya's explanation, Vanny widely open her eyes surprised,
"My feelings are right."
"What do you mean?"
"After reading of your reports and theory, I have a feeling she might loses control over her 'other personality' . Also learning from her actions, she might have contact with her other self. And helps a lot big time. But it seems Asahi still is aware about her other self is and trying not to reveal something more than problem related things."
"I don't follow... What are you talking about?"
"I got it big bro, it's like, Asahi surely knows about her other self, who and why she is there in the first place. But Asahi tries to hide or not to revealing it to us because of some reason."
Vanny surprisingly not aware about Rin's thoughts over the conversation,
"That's right... More importantly is her other self is currently living under her body as someone that lived before in this world."
"Why you come up with these idea-"
"Big sis, I have something to ask you..."
Before Takaya could ask the question, Rin interrupted,
"Yes?"
"Is there someone... That actually also a part of our family that we don't know?"
The question is like a heavy metal that weights Vanny's mind finally comes to her ears,
"Rin?? What are you talking about??"
"During our mission today, when I lost contact with you, I was visiting Ai's room. And found Syira there holding a book. Firstly I don't care about the book, but Syira says something about The truth was inside the book. I read it and see bunches of Grandpa's and mom's journal."
"The journal?"
"I didn't find anything until a small envelope fell from it, and that was a letter.. It's from our mother."
"What? Why didn't you tell me about this?"
"Because I want big sis to also know about this."
Vanny couldn't believe what did she just hear from Rin,
"Rin, what is the letter about?"
"It was for her four children. And the contents she said she wants us to work together to live with whatever the problem is. Our names are written in the letter except one name that I was curious about."
"Asagi?"
"You know???"
Hearing that, Takaya finally gets what the topic is,
"Vanny, tell me... Mom actually has 4 children?"
A question that Vanny knows about all this time she keeps it alone,
"This is part of the news that I want to tell both of you. But I want you two to stay calm... and promise me, not to do anything stupid without me knowing. Can we agree with that?"
Both Takaya and Rin nodes sign for agreeing with Vanny,
"The person that mom mentioned in the letter is true. I am the first born child of her, Takaya is the third, Rin is the fourth. Asagi is the second born. She is a year later after me, and we share our faces. Everyone considered us twins."
"Where is she, Vanny?"
"I hate to break it to you, but she is inside Asahi's body. Living there as her Other personality that we talked about earlier."
Takaya and Rin was shocked on hearing Vanny telling the truth,
"Why after so long now you are telling us about this? And why not even one of us knowing this-"
Vanny's face become sad,
"It's because I'm not sure about it. Things are hard at my side already. Seeing you guys and everyone else didn't even know or care about Asagi's existence suddenly gone. Even worse than that, I just found out about all of this."
"Is this also the Forgotten's power of memory manipulation?"
"Yes. But leave that a side, all of this is her doing."
Rin suddenly grabs Takaya's arm and hug it tightly,
"How cruel..."
Only word that Rin could say,
"I know both of you think it's unbelievable. But honestly I didn't want to hide things from both of you. Up until now, I was trying to find logical explanations for you guys. But now things are changing. We have a chance."
"Chance? What?"
"To bring her back."
"Bring her back? Mind to explain to me, after you disclose the entire truth, now you are telling us about things that don't make any sense and you want to bring her back?"
"Takaya-"
"Big bro, this is not what big sis mean-
"Don't you tell me, after this you said our parents are alive all this time, and you want me and Rin to believe it."
From all of the explanations, Takaya seemed not to believe any, losing his cool. Seeing both expressions of his sibling trying to hold their cries, he calms himself.
"Takaya, is up to you whether or not you want to believe it. But things are changing. And what I'm trying to say is, this is not a coincidence. To see this as an important thing to discuss with you in real time is a really good idea. But I still can't go back."
"I know things are hard on your side. I won't judge you for things that you hide from me, but I think you should take a rest a bit from all of your problems. Coincidence or not I don't think this is believable, like you said, things have changed, our reality has also changed."
Hearing Takaya tries to straight his mind, Vanny sighed deeply,
"Alright. Just forget about this. No one here will talk about it any further."
Takaya not reacting on Vanny's word,
"Lastly. I sent you two a report from Starline. It contains intel for S.I.N. Read it carefully and be careful of yourselves."
"Thank you. I'll report back if we find anything else."
"Okay. Rin, always listen to your big brother. Don't be a bad girl, alright?"
"Yes big sis. Please take care... We'll be fine."
The communication has ended. The conversations are still in their mind, while trying to think that is impossible to believe, Takaya decides to move on and not to think of what just happened.
Rin walks away from the room get toward her bedroom and open the door,
"Big bro.. Do you believe what we just discussed?"
Takaya gaze at Rin,
"I don't. "
Hearing Takaya's answers Rin walks into her bedroom and shuts the door.
