Chapter 1 - A Bird's Life

DAY 1

I slowly opened my heavy eyelids as hunger hit my stomach. The only thing I saw was darkness all around me. With no sign of light I struggled to break free from the confine of sticky liquid enveloping my body. I tried to push my arms but they were weak with no strength. I couldn't help but feel weak and sleepy with all the movement and struggle I did. With all things done I closed my eyes and feel asleep.

DAY 2

i feel more strength when I woke up today but the hunger and urge to get out of the darkness still linger in my mind. I knew that I have to gather my strength with one push to get out, but before I gathered my power, I closed my eyes to feel my body and examine it. I can still feel the sticky liquid around me and something different from my human body. I knew that I am not human anymore because I can the skin in my arms are more wider and longer than before with protruding bones or claws, and with this beak in my mouth I am certain that I am. Ot human anymore as I remember my Las moment when I died. So I stayed still for another day.l and maybe tomorrow try my luck but today, I'll just take another sleep.

DAY 3

Today's the day to break free from all this constraints. As I feel my surroundings and felt the wall in the dark, I gathered my strength in my beak and banged my head on the darkness.

*crack*

A small crack was made and a feeling wind blowing was felt ony my face. I tried again and banged my beak on the crack to make another.

*crack*

The hole was bigger now and a light was made. I tried another shot to make it a little more bigger to fit my body.

*crack*

*drop*

A drop of shell fell and I finally saw the outside of the shell.

A mesmerizing scene unfold in my eyes.

Giant trees, sun rays falling in the leaves, birds chirping beside me... Wait!? Birds!? Chirping beside me!? Ugh. Now I know why I'm in a shell or should I say eggshell? I became a freakin' bird!
