the two of them suddenly came to a realization, finally understanding that the land deed to Snow Wave Mountain was indeed lost, and now, it had been sent to an auction house by an unknown person.
"To steal the land deed and then sell it, isn't this doing extra work for nothing? Could it be that the person behind this just wants to take this opportunity to make a big chunk of money?"
Zoey Milton couldn't help but speculate about the motives behind the scenes, but upon closer thought, this logic also made no sense.
She quickly shook her head, denying her own suggestion, "No, I think their doing so must be to legitimately acquire the land deed. That way, even if the two big families suspect anyone, they can't really do anything to them."
