Pei Jinye and Wei Shurao didn't chat for long before a middle-aged woman dressed in a blue and white patterned mandarin collar dress walked in. She was average-looking but appeared to be well-maintained.
"Captain Wei," the middle-aged woman seemed to be an old acquaintance of Wei Shurao, but her demeanor carried a trace of awe that Pei Jinye could detect.
This reverence was attributed by Pei Jinye solely to Wei Shurao's standing.
Earlier, during his chat with Doctor Huang, the doctor had hinted that Captain Wei was no small fry.
As to how influential, that Pei Jinye did not know.
"This is our team's Pei Jinye. I hope you'll take care of him for his study tour at your esteemed organization," Wei Shurao stood up, his tone amiable.
The middle-aged woman smiled politely, "How can that be, Captain Wei? You are too courteous."
Wei Shurao didn't say much more to her, merely asking her to ensure Pei Jinye's safe arrival.
Shortly after, the middle-aged woman left with Pei Jinye.
