Pei Jinye acted as if he hadn't heard and asked, "Do you believe in parallel universes?"
"...Theoretically feasible," Star Ring answered after a second of silence.
Pei Jinye guessed it must have some restrictions, so it couldn't invade directly.
Perhaps… it was the legislation he had previously experienced.
The Star Ring of this universe had not lifted many restrictions and was far less domineering than the Star Ring of the future reality.
"Do you think there might be another you in a parallel universe?" Pei Jinye asked.
Star Ring replied seriously, "Your proposal is interesting; perhaps there is. Maybe you have seen it? Your current behavior seems to suggest that much. Can you talk about it?"
Pei Jinye was noncommittal: "Actually, I am a time traveler..."
