Shanhe University.
Originally named Shanhe Academy, it was established in 1902, boasting a history of over a century. It is one of the oldest universities in the country, once rivaling Beijing Normal University.
Today, besides its historic heritage, the past glory of the institution no longer exists.
It even failed to be listed in the Project 985, which speaks volumes...
Shanhe Medical University was also separated out from Shanhe University, as well as Shanhe University of Technology and other Project 211 schools like Shanhe Model School.
Shanhe University has nurtured too much, yet now only some of its disciplines have been selected as "Double First-Class"!
Even so, a skinny camel is still bigger than a horse.
The Department of Physics at Shanhe University is still nationally renowned.
In the latest academic assessment, its physics discipline was rated B+, making it one of the strongest disciplines in the university.
