The impact on the Goddess of Art was even greater than what Liuzi had imagined.
As she realized that her fate had no intersection with Liuzi's, she dully stared at the computer in front of her, her once sparkling hair instantly becoming dull and lifeless.
Turning her head, she looked at Liuzi with tear-filled eyes and choked up, "Liuzi, I'm sorry, I can't save you."
"No, why would you think that?" Liuzi asked in astonishment, "I just had a physical examination, and I'm in good health."
"But you can only live for, at most, eighty years," said the Goddess of Art with a sobbing tone.
"Eighty years is quite enough for me."
"But you're going to work hard for fifty years, as you age, your works will still be sought after, and you'll be honored as a modern master of comics, having devoted your life to them. And after finally retiring, you will have remained single for life; isn't that a bitter existence?"
