Michael's previously relaxed smile disappeared instantly.
He strode forward, the scene before him at the top of the stairs rendering him speechless, even preventing those behind him from passing.
Before him, his own stout young lads sat crouching on the ground, bodies covered with shoe prints, several with dried blood at their noses, looking aggrievedly at the Red side Soldiers making them sing.
Michael's face twitched before he marched over, shouting, "What are you doing!"
"Stop the nonsense, you sing too! We've been messed with these past few days, come join us!"
Michael flew into a rage, pointing at the squad leader in front of him, his face quivering like a sewing machine.
"Do you know who I am!"
"Who cares who you are! Don't think I don't know you're a spy from the Blue side. Get over here and squat down!"
Michael tried to speak again, but a pair of rubber shoes came flying at him.
