The man raised his hands high and carefully made his way down.
Qi Hancai gave the other person a look.
He wore a leather jacket and looked disheveled, resembling a refugee fleeing a disaster.
Qi Hancai continued, "Have everyone come out and submit to inspection."
"Oh, sure!"
The man turned around, signaling for the people in the other vans to get out as well.
One by one, survivors emerged from the other vans.
Most were men, with only a few women, and everyone's condition seemed poor, some dirty and emaciated.
"Go inspect their vehicles," Qi Hancai continued.
A few people went over and began to inspect the interior of the vans.
Qi Hancai then asked, "Is anyone injured?"
"No," they all answered in succession.
This was easy to identify, as the virus's effect on humans was rapid.
If they could stand there for a while, not turning into zombies, then there was no problem.
After a moment of silence, Qi Hancai's gaze returned to the first man, "Are you their leader?"
