Thinking about it, that was normal, after all, the Origin of Mankind was a Divine Artifact that had given rise to a civilization; if the fog took decades to recover, the Thorne civilization couldn't have possibly developed.
When the fog was still scarce initially, Duge had experimented with the Origin of Mankind once more, wanting to see if the fog could continue to enhance his body.
But after he absorbed the fog, there were no changes to his body, and Jannie was the same.
It seemed as if their modified bodies had become immune to the fog.
Inoculated once, immune for life!
Having confirmed this, Duge felt especially fortunate.
