The one leading was a middle-aged man with a long beard, wearing a blue robe, and carrying a longsword on his back. His face was solemn. Behind him, a young man and woman who looked to be in their early twenties—the man in a black robe and the woman in a green dress—were also each carrying treasured swords on their backs.
They had arrived as three streaks of swordlight and did not employ the sword flight technique where one stands on the sword, as used in the first Alien Battlefield.
