Shana suggested going back, but they hadn't anticipated a zombie onslaught. Due to their limited lighting, they were forced to fight on their own. So, he had no choice but to continue walking through the tunnel with just a bit of light from his flashlight. The tunnel, more like a large underground air-raid shelter, was riddled with numerous intersections; fortunately, he didn't encounter too many zombies and managed to proceed relatively smoothly. Last night, he had slept for a few hours in the tunnel and continued wandering aimlessly today until he finally emerged from the tunnel in the evening.
