The two hadn't gone far into the sewer before they encountered two Night Demon attacks. At the time, they were walking side by side, with Little Knife turning a corner carrying a torch, and Snow Egg a step behind. Seizing the moment, the following Night Demon decisively attacked, clawing and biting. Little Knife hurried back with the light of the torch to fend off the Night Demon and check on Snow Egg's injuries, then connected to headquarters.
Starlight immediately woke Emerald Feather, and two doctors connected for remote treatment.
At that moment, footsteps were heard around the sewer corner. Little Knife instinctively took a couple of steps forward with the torch to investigate, only to see the retreating back of a Night Demon. Turning around, she found another Night Demon squatting beside Snow Egg, tearing at him. It looked up to meet Little Knife's gaze, its mouth pixelated by light.
