Indeed, it wouldn't work. All room windows, or balconies, were fitted with a fence similar to a burglar-proof net. It could be opened from the inside but couldn't be breached from the outside.
"I refuse to believe we can't find a single key in 17 rooms. Everyone go back and search every nook and cranny from the beginning to end," Maya paused, then turned her head to Lin Wu, "and by 'search every nook and cranny,' I don't mean literally searching the carpets, you got that?"
Lin Wu glared angrily, while Maya nodded with satisfaction and walked away, considering it revenge for almost making her burst out laughing.
After nearly another hour of searching every corner outside and flipping through each body three times, they still couldn't find any keys.
