When Tuck found Blanc,
Blanc had already dealt with the Shepherd.
Seeing Tuck arrive, Blanc breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness, when you left before, you bestowed upon me that power that resonates with the Mother Nest."
"It protected me from the attacks of the Sting Bees."
"Otherwise... I would have been in danger."
Tuck replied softly, "That power linking to the Mother Nest's ecological world can last a long time, there's no need to worry about anything."
"Moreover, as a member of the Steam Sequence, the duration will last even longer than for an ordinary Transcendent."
"This... has something to do with the Steam Sequence?" Blanc asked, startled.
"Yes!"
Tuck nodded.
"There is indeed a certain connection."
Tuck looked around; there were many Sting Bees, and quite a few dead bodies.
Among them were over thirty Dark Sun Degenerates.
And among the many bodies, there lay the corpse of the Shepherd.
