Chapter 30 - Chapter 15: If One Girlfriend Isn't Enough, Just Introduce Another!_1

"Drawing a duck? The new game is about ducks?"

"No need to say so much, just draw it the way I tell you." Inside Ke Jin's room, he had unenthusiastically hauled Ke Yu from the living room to his own, pushing her in front of his computer desk.

This little girl was going to start school in less than half a month, so he needed to squeeze some work out of her quickly.

Now that the collaboration had been settled, it was time to rush the game development at full speed.

Goose Duck Kill was a semi-finished product when it was drawn, and Ke Jin had briefly scanned the unzipped package.

He found that the underlying logic of the game's code was there, and it could even be run for testing.

In the programming industry, there's a saying that if a bug can run, don't touch it.

However, the character images in Goose Duck Kill were all outlined by numerous dynamic black dots, and the textures were not yet applied.

In such a condition, even if it could run, it would not be accepted by the players, let alone claim the top spot on the charts.

"I told you to draw, just stare with big eyes like copper bells, but with a dull and lightless look, as if it's a dumb bird. Then the neck should be very slender—like a duck neck, which you've eaten before, roughly that shape. The lower body is basically the shape of a duck. Just remember, the core is to highlight 'dumb.'"

"Alright, I've finished drawing." During the time Ke Jin described, Ke Yu had already grabbed her graphics tablet and drawn a portrait according to his description.

After taking a look, Ke Jin couldn't help but let out a word of admiration.

Hey, has she grown up?

As expected of his own little sister, she was just short of sharing a brain with him.

The duck that was drawn closely resembled the dumb duck in Ke Jin's memory—about ten or nine parts similar.

But the details were still a bit lacking.

Nevertheless, this was not a significant issue; he could make some minor adjustments later.

Although Ke Jin couldn't draw, with a four-year major in game design, editing a picture in Photoshop was not a problem at all.

"Can I go back to watching my TV drama now?" Ke Yu was just about to leave.

But Ke Jin pressed her head down and made her sit again.

"Where do you think you're going? You still have to draw the premium content."

"Ah?" Ke Yu's little face instantly flushed red, she covered her eyes with her hand but peeked through her fingers at Ke Jin: "Brother... does the duck also need to be made sexy... I, I haven't watched many of those, I don't have enough knowledge... mmm mmm mmm."

The reason she made a strange sound at the end was because Ke Jin reached out and pinched her soft cheeks, stretching them out to both sides like pulling noodles.

"Don't pinch, pinch, pinch... I'm going to be pinched silly..." Ke Yu protested unclearly, wobbling like a toy.

"It's for the in-game store's premium content, the duck's costumes, the nicknaming frames, and the built-in chat box decorations for speaking. Sketch me up 10 sets of these for now. I've got the design plan in my computer." Ke Jin thought for a moment; 10 sets should be enough for now.

"10 sets?" Upon hearing this, Ke Yu's amber eyes widened: "Just kill me now, I won't be able to finish drawing these even by next year's school start..."

"What about now?" Ke Jin slowly pulled out two concert tickets from his pocket: "It's in three days, in Linco City. You can go with your bestie."

"Wow!! Ni Baibai's concert tickets?? And in the front row??? Big bro, how did you get them???" Ke Yu's eyes sparkled with excitement, ready to pounce.

Ke Jin then quickly pocketed the tickets again.

Ke Yu twirled her beautiful eyes and chuckled: "Seven days, just give me seven days and I'll get it done!"

"Additionally, here's a giant panda pillow." Ke Jin magically placed a pillow toy on the computer desk as well.

Ke Yu's cheeks turned even redder with excitement: "A limited edition released by the Chongqing officials? I've heard it's been scalped for 2000 on Idle Fish... Bro, how did you know I wanted this? I love you so much!"

Ke Jin coughed softly.

Ke Yu immediately straightened her little face and solemnly swore: "Three days! At most three days! From this moment forth! I will not eat or sleep, not watch TV or make trouble. As it is today, so shall it be every day!"

"All right, get started." Ke Jin gave up his seat, and once Ke Yu was fully immersed in her work,

he slipped out of the room, picked up the remote controller, and comfortably sank into the sofa, flipping through the TV to the sports channel, legs casually swinging.

As the saying goes, spoil your sister for a thousand days, and you need her for just a moment.

Absolutely no guilt whatsoever!

Unfortunately, the relaxed moment didn't last long.

The sound of the front door turning alerted Ke Jin, his first thought being that their house had been burgled.

But then, he saw both his parents returning home.

Ke Jin's eyes darted to the living room wall clock—12:30 PM.

Normally, his parents would eat lunch at their workplace and seldom come home at noon.

What had happened?

Even more problematic was that his little sister was still in his room helping with the game's design.

If she was caught red-handed by their father, Ke Jin didn't dare to imagine the consequences.

When he was just 10 years old, his father had smashed his gaming console to pieces in a rage and forbade him from touching any game-related thing ever again, a memory that was still fresh in his mind.

"Where's your sister?" Ke Jun entered the house and first scanned the room but didn't see Ke Yu. Then he looked at the coffee table, where there was no sign of any prepared meal: "Is she not at home in the middle of the day?"

Since Ke Jin hadn't been given a heads-up, it wasn't good for him to lie and say that Ke Yu had gone out.

He could only pluck up the courage to say, "She's studying in my room; she said she can't slack off even though she's been accepted to university."
