The employees of Player Number One recently discovered that something was off with their boss.
The previous boss had eyes that radiated with confidence, spoke with a resonant vigor, and every move he made carried the air of a person of power.
But now, it was as if the boss had been nerfed overnight by the planners of Blue Star OL for the sake of game balance.
Stardew Valley blew up with a phenomenal reputation, and although it didn't make a lot of money, it was considered a tremendous success.
Yet the boss seemed like a changed person.
He no longer locked himself in his office all day to furiously write the plans for new games.
Instead, he would wander around the office area for no apparent reason.
You'd think he was inspecting the employees' work.
But it didn't seem like it.
Because often, as he walked, he would suddenly stop and just stand there.
Staring at an employee's computer screen from afar, sometimes for as long as half an hour.
