The next day, Riku truly thought that it would be just like any other. There were no signs of changing status quos, and Shizu and Lexa were both looking at him for direction again just like old times. Well, technically, Shizu was still in charge, but somewhere along the way, there was a shift in tone between the group that ended up with him being in charge again. Of course, he still did his best to give Shizu control back, but his companion still truly looked up to him for input.
'And now there's two of them,' he humorlessly chuckled to himself in thought. 'Assuming Lexa even survives the coming Depths.'
