Jumping into the exit, Riku and Shizu arrived at the next Depth panting and relieved that they managed to escape. With his clone keeping the man occupied, it gave them just enough time to jump into the exit's watery tunnels. It didn't feel great to run from a battle, but they were at least going to live another day.
"I'm... so happy we're out of there," Shizu panted, her hands on her knees as she caught her breath. "I really thought we were going to die back there."
"We weren't, but that's a valid feeling," Riku scoffed, hiding his own exhaustion with a smirk. "We're in relative safety, but don't feel too comfortable."
