Claudia Ross hung up the phone, seething, and cursed Wyatt Perry numerous times in her heart.
What kind of person was he, obviously favoring Katie Poole.
It must be true love, even a fart from her must smell sweet.
Mark Reed handed her a peeled orange and asked with a smile, "Am I that good?"
"What?" Claudia Ross blinked, not understanding what he meant.
"Gentle, considerate, understanding."
She had said that, those two qualities, he hadn't even noticed in himself.
Claudia Ross smiled sheepishly, "Of course you're good, very good. Heh, sorry for using you as a shield."
"It's okay, you're my employee, and I have the duty to help you."
It wasn't that Mark Reed would get involved in all his employees' affairs, but Claudia Ross was a special case.
Looking at her, he felt a sense of kinship, as though they were old friends who had known each other for many years.
"Thank you, Mr. Reed." Claudia Ross ate a slice of the orange and smiled happily, "It's so sweet!"
