Zack's POV:
Heh heh," panting like I've just run a marathon. "Celia, give me a body analysis real quick," I asked, wiping the sweat from my face. "It'll only take 10 seconds for you to catch your breath; note your stamina is at half, so be careful of the way you move.". A voice could be heard from a figure walking through the smoke: "You're strong, skilled, and smart, and you're just a level two system user!" I don't think I can afford to let potecail like yours leave us; apologies in advance.". "Celia, what's he apologizing for?" I asked as I got back into a fighting stance."I think he's saying. He won't hold back," she replied as a flash of light passed through me. The last thing I knew was that there was a sharp pain in the left side of my chest, sending my face down the floor. As I fell, a screen showed up saying, "WARNING, your heart has stopped.". Daimon's attack caught Zack off guard; it was a move that sliced through him and somehow stopped his heart from beating. Daimon's walked over to Zack. Standing over him, he noticed that on Zack's face there was a smile, not of satisfaction but of victory. He then laughed out loud, "Ha ah ha ah," smiled, and said, "You put up a good fight, kid, but in this life, hard-earned strength will always crush talent," pointing his sword to Zack's chest as if he were going to finish him off, but surprisingly, his sword fazed in Zack's chest, sending a jolt of electricity through him, restarting his heart. Daimon then withdrew his sword from Zack's torso. The first thing that Zack said after opening his eyes was, "You lost.". The rest of the team was shocked by what they had just witnessed. They couldn't believe that Zack actually won against Daimon, no less. Sophia smiles in admiration at watching Zack's fight. From the look on her face, the rest of the team could say nothing less than that she saw something they missed; she realizes that he surpassed her expectations in the way he fights and battles, which is genious, but his tactics are, well, let's just say, repulsive. Zack got up off the ground, brushed himself off, and turned to Daimon, raising his hand and showing him the card that he had been protecting throughout the fight. Daimon was surprised and shocked, asking himself, But when did he?" Realizing that he was conned and that he had been dancing in the palm of Zack's hand throughout the entirety of the fight. He looked in Zack's direction, noticing the psychotic smile on Zack's face, holding his finger at his head, mimicking someone trying to shoot their brains out. But to him, this was a sign of victory. Mockingly rubbing his victory in his face. He could see Zack for the man; he really is a man who goes to lengths to win, and most of all, he was crazy. "You see, I already knew I couldn't beat you in a battle of strength, speed, and power, so I had to come up with another way to win: wits. I tricked you into believing that I'd defeat you head-on without regard for the access card, shifting your focus from protecting the card and fighting me, leaving the card vulnerable to theft, but that wasn't going to cut it; you wouldn't allow me to get close enough to take it until your final move, a high-speed lunge that is so fast and precise you can't change direction, was where I got the chance to take it. Let me answer before you ask, 'but I was moving at light speed, so it doesn't make sense', yes, you were moving at light speed faster than I could dodge, but the moment you came close enough to where I could reach, I focused all my remaining energy in my hand and removed most of my brain cells and stored them elsewhere, boosting my physical capabilities at light speed. This was a high-risk move, and I ran the risk of going retarded for ever, but it worked, and I won, so experiencing retardism for a second was worth it. Your strike was totally going to kill me, but I remembered that this fight started because you wanted to recruit me in the first place, so I gambled that you would have a way to bring me back somehow. So, in layman's terms, YOU. GOT. CONNED". "Ha ah ha ah, kid, your amazingly, amazingly crazy in fact." "He yelled!" he laughed. You're one conning guy, that's for sure. You won, kid; you can leave. Unlike you, I keep my promises," he said as I walked past him. "But I never promise you anything; there you go, losing again," I replied. "I decided. I'm going to stay here with you guys," he said. "I knew you would make the right decision," Daimoan replied with a sound of accomplishment in his voice. I continued saying, "Only on three conditions: you allow me to be myself, meaning I'm allowed to do what I want, whenever I want, how I want; I won't team with people I can't be myself around; I won't be tied down by anything or anyone in this world. Two, anything I do from this day on is to protect all of you. Third and last, when the time comes, I must be free to leave without any problems or complaints from the team. My motives come before anything. If you are cool with my term, I will stay; if not,I will leave. and think that if I walk through that door and we meet later on, we will be enemies. "I accept your terms. Well, come, Zack, the one that AKA knows no truth!" he replied, turning to the rest of the team and saying, "The seven are now complete.". I looked up, thinking to myself,I think we're going to like it here; what do you think, Celia? Celia?". "Me too," Celia replied.
