Once his train of thought concluded, he decided it was time to change characters. The Hokage package he had been granted proved to be quite helpful for these kinds of events.
With a sigh, Minato Namikaze's body transformed into a perfect white sphere, a combination of cursed energy and a whitish substance.
The mass twisted for a few seconds before becoming suspended in the air, floating as the energy rotated within it, exerting a subtle pressure on the surroundings.
Meanwhile, with the King of Curses...
After massacring the volcanic curse with a minimal display of his power, he received an unexpected visitor.
His servant, reincarnated in this era, Uraume, arrived to meet him right after the death of the volcano.
"How are things going with Kenjaku?"
Sukuna, observing his servant kneeling before him, waited with a smile, still excited by the previous amusement.
"Kenjaku has some plans... apparently, he intends to unite humanity into a single being, just to see what happens. His curiosity knows no bounds..."
Sukuna's smile widened.
"Sukuna-sama... aren't you afraid that your vessel might realize the plan? I mean, I'm telling him this now, and he'll certainly remember once this event is over..."
At Uraume's words, Sukuna simply moved, walking slightly as he turned his back on his servant, before turning toward her again.
"I doubt it. He may remember some fragments, but not everything. The mark this will leave on his mind will be so deep that his subconscious will isolate these events for being too intense and traumatizing. He's likely to remember nothing but scraps or perhaps nothing at all, but honestly who cares is not like he could do something.."
Uraume's smile widens a little before returning to its normal state.
"I see, then I'll inform you Sukuna-sama. Kenjaku plans to bring back..."
While Uraume was updating Sukuna on more details of Kenjaku's plan, on one of Shibuya's avenues, a blonde-haired young man was cornering another with black hair, who was dressed in a Jujutsu Sorcerer uniform.
Haruta Shigemo stood a few meters away from the defeated and gravely wounded Megumi Fushiguro.
'I really didn't want it to come to this… not to this extreme. But I guess if I'm going to die, this bitch is coming with me.'
Megumi Fushiguro was in a critical situation.
Not only had a madman without cursed energy been chasing him, nearly killing him but Sukuna was completely unleashed. Recently, a battle between Special Grade Sorcerers had taken place in Shibuya, where Sukuna was most likely involved.
Now, Megumi was about to unleash an indomitable calamity from the Zenin Clan in Shibuya.
And if he was lucky, he would die with the first blow.
On the other hand, his blonde-haired enemy laughed gleefully at Fushiguro's deplorable condition.
Seeing that bastard mocking him, and faced with the certainty that his life was about to end, his resolve hardened...
The Eight-Handed, Divergent Sila Divine General: Mahoraga was the most powerful shikigami of the Ten Shadows Technique. To summon this entity, both hands needed to be stretched out and the incantation recited: "Furube Yura Yura."
"Sacred treasure swing and ring, ring... With this treasure, I summon you... Eight-Handed, Divergent Sila Divine General: Mahoraga!"
Despite being summoned by Megumi Fushiguro, since it had not been purified, Mahoraga did not recognize him as its master.
In fact, throughout the history of the Ten Shadows Technique, no user from the Zenin clan had ever been able to dominate this shikigami.
For the user to claim Mahoraga, a group exorcism had to take place.
However, there was a significant disadvantage: among the participants in the exorcism, if one were gravely injured, they would enter a state of suspended death and would only die when Mahoraga defeated all the participants.
If an outsider to the ritual participated and managed to defeat Mahoraga, all participants in the ritual would have a chance of survival.
However, if other people were included in the ritual but failed to defeat the shikigami, the user of the Ten Shadows Technique would be unable to use it in the future.
This invocation was generally considered impractical. However, Megumi saw it as his ace up his sleeve, his last resort in the most desperate situations. By summoning Mahoraga and forcing his opponent to participate in the ritual, Megumi could drag his enemy down with him, as he was now attempting to do with Haruta Shigemo.
The shikigami had a humanoid body, at least twice as tall as an average person. On the sides of its head were long wings where its eyes should have been, and behind its head extended a long tail.
Above its head floated a wheel with eight handles, and from its chest hung chains, along with a sword attached to its left arm.
He had been summoned by Megumi Zen'in... With a violent and arrogant smile, as if he knew that Haruta was already a walking corpse, Megumi smirked before uttering the following words with a victorious air: "Hey, bastard!! I'm going to die first... do your best..."
BANG!
With a single blow...
A single blow was enough to knock out Megumi Fushiguro, sending her flying into a nearby metal door, and leaving a trail of blood on the impact zone.
This monster had been unleashed to kill such a pathetic opponent as Shigemo, whose life and ritual only depended on luck... He had survived solely thanks to his luck. However... Haruta's gaze was fixed on the general Mahoraga. His imposing figure, along with his dark and violent cursed energy, overshadowed everything around him, drawing the attention of everyone in the area. His presence was so terrifying that even those who couldn't see him, like ordinary people, could feel that something was wrong.
For many, the feeling of a premonition was tangible.
They knew that something terrible was about to happen, even if they couldn't predict when. With all the supernatural occurrences, they understood that death was stalking one of Shibuya's streets, ready to strike and devour them all.
'Damn, bastard! 'Why did he have to go overboard and release that thing just to kill me...?'
Shigemo, although he had been a scoundrel his entire life, didn't understand why this was happening to him.
He had only survived the blonde man by sheer luck, the same man who had grabbed him like a dog and brutally beaten him... And then, he started running... But what Haruta didn't realize was that his salvation would come in the form of his death...
As Mahoraga advanced with slow, heavy steps, instilling deep terror in Haruta's mind, an even more malevolent presence was quickly approaching him...
It wasn't that Haruta was a bloodhound, but if what he was sensing was true, then something worse was coming. Not only was death breathing down his neck, but something darker was approaching...
In his distraction, he hadn't noticed that the beastly, white demonic figure had already arrived behind him, ready to crush him with his hand.
Shoowsh!
BAM!
And salvation arrived in the form of a demon...
Sukuna's POV
After killing the volcanic curse and reuniting with his servant, Uraume, to receive information about Kenjaku's plan following the Shibuya events and Satoru Gojo's downfall, Japan's most powerful curse in history sensed an imposing presence that had suddenly appeared in Shibuya. It wasn't a curse, as Kenjaku had ensured no high-level curses were summoned in Shibuya, aside from the four that followed him like loyal dogs.
Moving at great speed, Sukuna felt how the presence of the former Zenin member was being extinguished almost to the point of death in a matter of seconds.
As he sped through the buildings, showcasing the physical power of his vessel, Sukuna perceived how that presence was increasing its cursed energy chaotically and violently, almost as wild as his own.
Arriving just in time, he saw in the distance what seemed to be a kind of gigantic white Shikigami, advancing slowly but menacingly toward a blonde boy who appeared to be a low-ranking sorcerer.
He could see that Fushiguro was gravely injured and that the blonde boy was about to be crushed by the imposing Shikigami.
A curious hunch told him that this could be a great battle, one that would show him what that beast summoned by the young sorcerer was truly capable of.
Sukuna's curiosity about Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique had reached its peak.
He lunged at the Shikigami, and in the process, saved the blonde boy who was seconds away from being crushed by the monstrous creature.
Landing right beside the Zenin, Sukuna quickly noticed the young man's wounded and emaciated state. Using his Reverse Cursed Technique to inspect his physical condition, he detected that the boy was in a state of suspended death.
(End of Sukuna's POV)
One moment, he saw his life flash before his eyes… about to be crushed and torn apart… and the next, his vision blurred as if he had been pulled out of there at an inhuman speed.
Now, he was being held by the sleeve of his shirt, suspended by what seemed to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
In his dazed and confused state, he hadn't noticed who had rescued him, but when he did, it didn't take long for him to recognize him by the cursed energy emanating from him.
'T-The vessel of Sukuna... What is he doing here? How did he get here so fast?'
His eyes widened as he felt the cold cursed energy coming from the man standing before him, who stood tall, glaring disdainfully at the curious Shikigami with unusual power.
He swallowed hard…
'This arrogance... this power, this contempt and bloodlust... Is it… is it Sukuna, n-no…?'
The realization hit his mind like a lightning bolt when he noticed that the one who had saved him was none other than the King of Curses himself.
Sukuna's gaze alternated between Megumi and the Shikigami, realizing that the creature belonged to the young sorcerer...
