A boy was awakened by the sound of his alarm clock, accompanied by the voice of the radio announcer. The radio proclaimed that it had been 16 years since the mysterious towers and dungeons had first appeared, and the world was still recovering from the continuous disasters. The number of awakened individuals last year had surpassed the count of the previous year, and the awakened now constituted 33% of the world's population.
Suddenly, a man and a woman burst into his room, their faces filled with joy. "Happy birthday, son!" The boy smiled at them, and the woman said, "I've prepared your favorite breakfast. After that, it's time for cake, and I have plans for us for the whole day, son," as she held his hand. In that very moment, a spark of emotions hit him, and a radiant light emanated from his eyes, temporarily blinding his parents. The intense glow filled the entire room, accompanied by the sound of gasps and whispers from his parents.
The boy fell into a dark room with only a little bit of light and black smocks below. In the midst of that, he caught a glimpse of a man chained up in the shadows. The only details he could discern were the man's white eyes and white hair. The man looked up to see his face and said something. As he felt compelled to approach to hear what the man was saying clearly, the room seemed to echo with the sounds of his footsteps on the floor. But as he moved closer, the angle changed suddenly, causing him to fall, and he screamed violently. The sound reverberated off the walls, filling the dark room.
He fell to the ground. When he looked around, the ground was cracked. Then, he looked back and saw the tower appearing, with people running from it. Before the tower fully emerged, he saw a wounded woman in armor, holding a baby, running away from the emerging tower. The sounds of screams and crumbling buildings filled the air, drowning out any other noise. When he closed his eyes and reopened them, he saw the woman die right in front of his eyes, giving the baby to someone. Due to the disaster, a nearby building fell nearly on him. He reacted instantly and moved from the rubble of the building. The sound of crumbling debris and the rush of wind filled his ears as he dodged the falling structure. He couldn't see who the person received the baby before he could find out, but he had a familiar feeling to that person that he couldn't know why. He saw a falling building, but he knew if he gets hit he will die so he turned to the opposite direction and ran suddenly.
When he regained his senses, he was back in his body. His parents stared at him in shock, and the man said, "Your eyes, Hope, they're... they're white!" His mother, clearly shocked and scared by the change in her son's eyes, said, "You've awakened, Hope." At that moment, Hope saw a window appearing in front of him, saying, "The tower welcomes you."
