His broad shoulders accentuated stiffness. It wasn't like how I recalled it when we first met. His once effortless stand of grace seemed so staged now as he maintained his silence.
"Well…Lets talk."I said,breaking the ice.
"What do you really want?"He asked coldly.Like I was the root cause of all his problems.That wasn't a tone to make peace with.
"I said it out there; remember, I said I wanted to go."
"No, that's what your father wants. Out there, you also said that the weight of decision-making should sit solely on the shoulders of those involved. It would be a much wiser saying if you practiced it."
I rolled my eyes in annoyance.This definitely wasnt the talk I wanted
"Please don't treat me as if I am a puppet that does as my father pleases. If it were so,I wouldn't even be here in the first place."
