"You will crush her with that weight of yours. Let her go." an amused voice pushed Jamie away. He sighed but smiled at the spectacled girl who came closer.Â
"I hope you remembered me. Though I would not mind if you do not." she extended her hand for a small shake like a stranger should do. At least someone is normal here.
"You are Lacie, my second cousin." the girl nodded with a smile. Looking pleased as she passed a smug look to her brother who rolled his eyes.
"I was three when you took birth, so i did not remember you much. But my brother often talks about you." she looked at Jamie and then at Abigail. "And I heard that you are fond of books. Come, I will show you my treasure." Abi was still mesmerized on how naturally they held her hands and how they invited her to their secret rooms.
