Silence had its own voice. Abi could hear it in the room even when Nora went silent. She still did not trust Dion. but Abi did. She was going to put her trust in her husband. More than that, she did not have the right to inherit the position anyways.
Nora held her hands and Abi looked back, smiled.Â
"My father had chosen him, Nora. I am only following his last wish." A sigh escaped from Nora's lips. But she knew that the decision was already taken. "Give her a chance, Nora. For me, just once." Nora shook her head slightly and stared at the ceiling as if she was asking for patience.
"Alright, i will give a chance to your husband at least.'' She finally picked up her cup of tea but it was already cold. The tea felt bitter to her mouth.
