But her loud scream and giggles made everyone silent at once. They finally remembered that Abi was not alone in the room. They finally turned to look at him but his eyes were on the man who had laughed.
He was the one at ease and patted the little girl as if he was consoling her and himself.
"Gale!" He raised a brow when Abi called for him.
"Flora is just a child, Abigail. Do not tell me that your husband is so cold that he would mind the words of a child." Gale smiled at Abi, as if her worries were useless. Then his eyes turned to look at Dion. there was provocation in them. Dion could read it from miles away. His eyes narrowed at the man but when he noticed how the smiles started to fade away, he shook his head.
"Of course Abi would not mind a child." he stood straighter and walked to them. As if he had not noticed that they had ignored him intentionally. And the words of the young girl might be intentional too.
